Has a pretty low ceiling and not a lot of variety for a modern rogue-like; you can see pretty much all of what the game has to offer in only a few hours. You can't build a whole lot of towers so you'll have to do a lot of shooting things yourself, but if you don't look at it as a tower defense game then that's fine. What's here is really good. Definitely worth picking up in a sale. I'd love to see more content such as harder levels with the ability to build more towers and upgrade weapons multiple times. Overall the balance of the game is a little weird. Some weapons are clearly better than others and certain power-ups are totally useless, but the game overall is a lot of fun.1 found this helpful
Game crushes on Mars. No idea why. Neat concept for a game, but lazy, buggy execution.1 found this helpful
OK let's talk. I know the labor that goes into building a game, and the hit to the mood of a dev when you mention issues... so please take this as nothing but constructive criticism. I don't like the difficulty scaling. The missions need to be broken up into more granular segments. The first mission should be more along the lines of just, harvesting a single metal node, fighting a couple of attackers, and then moving out. The second mission you get some metal and build a turret, and fight a couple of waves of attackers. The third mission you have to build multiple turrets and fight 3-4 waves with a couple of shooters. Etc. I realize this takes more effort, but the first mission cannot be completed without dying and restarting, and then getting new weapon and turret types. The idea that you can't move to the next mission without dying is just ugly, and emulates P2W games on Android. Grind grind grind, die, grind more, die more, and eventually you accumulate enough upgrades to progress to the next level. So in order to win you have to lose, over and over. You could scale the game to make it challenging, and also give the player a chance to actually win, without dying over…
Excellent and simple Tower Defence, Rouge-like FPS mashup,. Short and sweet.
Decided to get this game after seeing some footage of it online. Initially it's easy but once you get past the first two levels you'll experience a really intense horde shooter and tower defense game. I'd recommend this game for sure.
It's fun. It feels a little bit lacking in upgrades and playstyles though. I'd like more air-time related upgrades and things that encourage you to minmax a specific building or gun or style.
