About Attack on Steel
Core gameplay and highlights
1. As a PVP third-person mecha shooting game, the core gameplay is mainly reflected in firearms. You can win the game by defeating the opponent player by shooting. Because the character controlled by the player is a huge mecha that can fly, and the addition of the z-axis depth and automatic aiming system, the shooting feel, mobile operation and other aspects can bring a unique experience to the player.
2. Destructible terrain and base buildings: Rocks in the wild and buildings in the base can be used as bunkers, but buildings, bungalows and even street light pipes can be destroyed, and some boulders have falling damage, encouraging players to think about how to use the battlefield environment while engaging in fast-paced combat
3. Destructible bodies: All bodies can fly and have automatic aiming systems. Each body can be destroyed by parts (hands, feet, head) and have different effects, for example: hands: weapons fall, heads: The core parts of most mechas are difficult to destroy due to blurred vision for a period of time, etc. However, the limbs are relatively fragile and require players to take advantage of them.
4. Skills and weapons: Each machine has three unique weapons and one ultimate skill. After destroying other people’s body parts, they can pick up other people’s weapons and use them, allowing players to feel the pleasure of using other people’s weapons.
5. Data Tower: Players who occupy the data tower can obtain gains, such as: attack power, blood volume, ultimate energy, etc.
6. Environmental interaction design: environmental changes, promotion of auxiliary devices

Slow paced mecha PvP shooter, much like Gundam Battle Operation but without any of the polish, content...or other players. Mecha design is cool, the guns are fine and the controls are good; there just isn't much of a game here, and gameplay is not fun enough for me to want to try and find some other suckers who wanna pay $10 to play a poor version of a free game.9 found this helpful
I hope this game gets a good player base I initially did not recommend based on the Demo and initial lack of controller support but I bit the bullet and bought the full version (price of a pizza and lasts longer) and the game has promise as long as the developer keeps up with updates. What it has going for it is that it can be played on local co-op or versus. Not just online. Add more maps and game modes increase the roster of playable mecha and we could have a underrated hit with this. Well with news from the developer that there will be no more updates due to lack of sales I regretfully will have to withdraw my previous recommendation. I had hopes this coulda been a cult game. But It ended up as another "Battlestead Gunma" as I predicted. Alas another abandonware. Still not too sad about the price. But in comparison to what else is out there Meh. One silver lining is the game was built in UNREAL Engine so there is fertile ground here for eager modders who may want a pet project for the game to get reverse engineered and modded to hell much like what was done with UKWXP "Ultimate Knight Windom XP" and their community by potentially adding new Mecha and Maps and weapons.4 found this helpful
