About Back To Hell

This adventure game of the old-school platformer genre tells a story about a heroine called Clara who goes to the Devil Mountain to send the Devil back to the Hell.

One fine day, dark clouds covered the sky, the darkness fell on the town where Clara lived, demons settled on the streets, and there was no one to save the town except Clara. Help Clara get to the top of the Devil Mountain, send the Devil back to the Hell, and save her town.

Using the arrow buttons displayed on the screen, control the game character and jump between platforms. Moving between eight locations, collect and use the things on the way.

I actually super enjoyed this game it was an absolute banger it took me forever how to figure out how to use the items because I'm dumb but had a ton of fun playing through it controls pretty well and cursive's a bit hard to read for me I'm a bit out of practice it was an insanely short game but for 49 cents I feel like I got a good return on my money. my play through here: https://youtu.be/d9g57Q8p4fw

Back To Hell is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. And this is so bad it's seriously a contender for one of the worst games on Steam, and with well over 8,700 reviews under my belt now, that's a pretty serious accolade. The things I have seen.... anyway. This platformer looks like it was made in Adobe Flash or something, but it wasn't. It's got "adventure" game elements as you can pick up stuff and put things down. Comically this seems to have been made to be a mobile app because it's got control hotspots on the left and right of the screen for your thumbs to touch while you play this on your iPhone, but of course Apple or Google would never allow crap like this on their app stores. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this …

This plays just like one of those free flash games from ten or more years ago where they throw together some clip art images and monotonous music for ten minutes of "gameplay" with no real challenge. If it weren't for the death scene, I would think this was a toddler game. The team made a couple of bug fixes last year but what this really needs is a ton more puzzles and content and a better selection of public domain music tracks--and a faster walking animation so you don't have to bounce and spin everywhere.
