About BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA
A vividly colored tale of horror and mystery that will mess with your mind. BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA is a third-person horror adventure game. Players will experience the "guchagucha" terror through the perspective of Garasu Yuki, a female university student, as she becomes entangled in the cursed fate swirling around the town of Utagamachi in Japan.
This latest title comes from Ichimatsu Suzuka, the creator behind the popular Japanese nostalgic horror games GOHOME and 夜詛YASO curse of soirée, which have collectively garnered over 95 million views on YouTube through gameplay and related videos.

Bloody good game this one. How do you tell your competitors you made a prologue that is more interesting than any of their wildest finished works? And also, f*ck your waffling about 'framerate' or 'janky texturing.' It was never relevant in the first place. Ain't no such thing as "so bad it's good." It's just "good." Speak with respect to this gay ol' time. This ♥♥♥♥ scared me, fried me, sucked me, etc. I had a GFT (Good F***ing Time). After playing this shiny piece of work, I told my (imaginary) girlfriend to BAN my GUCHA GUCHA before I TEKATA TEKATA KOKOSHIORU KOKO SHIORAAA (or whatever he says). Long story short, I'm sleeping in the doghouse tonight. Worth it though because it has a TV so I can play more BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA.4 found this helpful
This game is interesting because although it’s rough around the edges I ended up enjoying it immensely. It feels like an art project where dedication to the uncompromising artistic vision has been prioritized above all else. I can imagine it will be frustrating for some people, especially since performance suffers for it, but personally as someone who values overall artistic expression above all else I feel like this game more than delivered. As this is a prologue, it serves as an introduction to the world of the game, with hints of much bigger things to come. There’s clearly a lot of background detail that has gone into the construction of the setting, characters, and themes which may not be imediately visible at a surface level, but certainly exists for those invested enough to find them. I don’t know if I could unconditionally recommend this game to anyone who doesn’t share the same sensibilities when it comes to art and media, but for those interested in highly individualistic, unconventional games who happen to come across this review and feel like they understand what I’m talking about I would absolutely recommend giving it a go.4 found this helpful
Wouldn't recommend. I think it bugged out and I got stuck in a section where something was supposed to happen, but it never did. The idea of it being unhinged is great, but I can't recommend it for the $8.99. Didn't have any performance issues, but I am running a 9070XT with a 9800x3D, so your mileage may vary? This game should be free, to be honest. I've been told that their other games are much better, but I'm honestly turned off from this game that I'm not interested to check out the other ones at their price point.2 found this helpful
Mainly got this for the music and it did not disapoint, I was and still is big fan of Suzuka's works ever since the demo of gohome. It's just the kind of weird I love.
Very cool game. made me nod whilst scratching my chinny chin chin on numerous occasions.
Odd but fun short horror experience. This game doesn't really guide you that well, but as mentioned the game is short so it doesn't really get to you that much. The cutscenes were well done and entertaining. Hope to see more games like this from this dev.
