*WARNING: do not play if you are prone to motion sickness*

WAIT... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BE DOING?

...ETHERAL WEAPON? WHAT'S THAT?
An Etheral Weapon is a special type of gun that you can always spawn from behind your hips. Whether your gun is empty, you dropped it off a cliff or you just want to dual wield because that's the kind of cool dude you are, you can pull out these single magazine weapons to get you out of a bind!

18 UNIQUE ARENAS...
...made for the sole purpose of shooting, running and swinging around in.

10 UNIQUE GUNS...
...and more to come. Enjoy the entirely physical reloading and handling!

Easy to see why this was probably a financial failure when it was a paid game. Two hand reloading in a game where you'd rather have one hand hold a tether to swing from at all times. Realistic firearms that look weird in comparison to the otherwise pretty solid artstyle. Spawn magazine, interact with gun and grab onto tether are not only all one button but somehow trigger instead of grab on Oculus Touch. Falling instantly ends your run and makes me want to stop playing... Probably would've loved this game if I got to make these comments while it was being developed and maybe got some of them adressed. Not I won't even play it for more than 30 minutes as a free title2 found this helpful

"Basault VR" is a poorly made VR tech demo, a basic arena shooter with grappling hook mechanisms and asset flipped looking guns (sigh). Everything that doesn't look asset flipped looks awful and lazy, and as always when the assets look mismatched, the assets look sus. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to creat…1 found this helpful
Index user: This game does not feel like it was made for the index. I can't seem to get passed the first part that requires you swing over the pit from ceiling grapple points. The "grapple mechanic always just seems to catapult me into the pit.
The game has amazing potentioal but feels like a tech demo the grapple hook would be perfect if you didnt need to hold the trigger for it the gun angles feel horrible (at least on quest 2) reloading some weapons feels weird and sometimes you have to fight with the weapon for it to load but other than that the game is fun and for the price of free its a great time. I just hope the dev would expand on it with maybe another game
