People ragging on the dialogue are (I think) missing the point: this game quite literally advertises itself as a Saturday morning cartoon. It's meant to feel like the shows you watched as a kid, and I think they nail it! The gameplay is fun, the voice acting is great, there is a lot of content and I can see myself playing it again.

I’ve never left a review on Steam, but I really feel like this game deserves one. From the moment you start Battle Suit Aces, you can tell the devs poured their entire hearts into the world they created here. Gorgeous artwork and character design, thoughtfully crafted deck-building mechanics, a fun and interesting cast, and a sci-fi setting that invokes something like a cozy version of Cowboy Bebop really just blends together into something special, and I think more people should know about it!

The art and voice acting are top notch. I am so glad they went for a full VO, otherwise I think the game would have lost a lot of its charm. The characters feel much more real and full-bodied. The actual game play is really fun. It's a deck builder, but it is not a roguelike/lite (although there is a new mode I have not tried). They really did go all out in letting you build the deck you want. You can go for high-powered mechs, but the best strategies rely some craftiness. Some of my favourites were strategies that included constantly moving my mechs around the field to charge them up or making sure certain mechs dealt the final shot to further empower them. The story was decent, helped along by the wonderful voice acting. Overall, really cool game I would check out.

Given the amount of content I am not sure I can recommend this at $25, however I did very much enjoy it. I did feel that the story ended far too quickly and many of the optional characters have next to no story content whatsoever, however, the writing itself was pretty good. The main crew characters were likeable, with even stereotypical ones like Jules being compelling enough to enjoy imo (he actually ended up being my favorite aside from Heathcliff and Nishi). The character design is really beautiful and I only wish we could've seen more of every character's mech. A lot of scenes were reused where there could've been new art, so you end up seeing a lot of the same pictures throughout the story, particularly in regard to the Relic Suits. The voice acting was really well done and Heathcliff was a standout for sure, which is good because he is the main protagonist. The card battles were enjoyable on hard and not too difficult, but I could see them being exceedingly easy on normal and easy. There are also no consequences for losing a battle as you can just retry it and modify your deck as you please. Some cards really only come online with specific mods that can be easily acquired, …
