Beast and Cleaver is a lot of fun, mainly in its exploration of the world and the city upgrade system. Watching the Hanging City grow withe every boss I kill makes me excited to go find the next one. For a first release as a indie developer its a strong start. I am excited to play through the rest, not sure if I will ever be ready for the Hardcore mode though. I would recommend this title, fun play through with plenty to do.7 found this helpful
Played this game all throughout its development on Itch.io. Loved watching it grow and seeing the the changes. I hope that the game gets some traction with the 2d open world community. Its cool seeing something like this come to life. Also... 50 achievements is crazy lol. The dopamine from is top tier each time.6 found this helpful
This is a fun game. The progression is nice, guiding the player into the next environments and challenges quite smoothly. It took a slow reaction time 40-year old 8 hours to get through the story on regular difficulty. 40/54 Achievements unlocked along the way, so I know there are some unique gems left to find. There is a Hardcore mode to explore too. I'll probably get another 8 hours of exploration out of finding the remaining achievements alone.4 found this helpful
