About Beast Slayer
In Beast Slayer, you will embark on a thrilling adventure in an 8-bit open world where monsters roam free. As a skilled hunter, your mission is to track down and defeat the most dangerous beasts, each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses. With 8 different classes (and genders) to choose from, with varying skills and spells, each time you play will be different. You'll be able to create the character of your dreams. Plus you get to feel the retro nostalgia as you listen to an epic 8-bit soundtrack while flying on the wings of a dragon.
Explore a vast and varied landscape, from lush forests to icy tundras and scorching deserts, as you search for your prey. But be careful, as the monsters are not the only threat - you'll also have to navigate treacherous terrain and fend off rival hunters who are after the same legendary beasts. So gear up, sharpen your skills, and embark on an epic hunt for the rarest and most powerful beasts in Beast Slayer.
Beast Slayer was designed to feel like it was made in a bygone era. Everything was specifically chosen to feel retro, and designed to fit right at home on a classic gaming system. With a retro-inspired 8-bit soundtrack, colorful pixel graphics, and graphical details that fit the time period.. Beast Slayer will take you back to a different time: all while being fresh and new with features found in the latest open world RPGs. Build a home. Cook food to prepare for the latest dungeon trek. Pick up side missions. Get married. Explore the world.
Players will have a choice from 8 classes with distinct benefits and abilities. There are masculine and femine designs for each class. This means there are 16 different character appearance options. Marriage is open and you can marry any gender you please.

Regrets. I backed this on kickstarter and was expecting something else. Not this immature project. I get it, it still took some work to make, but... not a great game. it's still a game, but just not a good one. Take it for cheap but don't waste money on a basic solo player game that has the heart in the right place, but that's all. Hope this game was a nice practice for the creator and next time things will turn out better, at least for me as a player and lover of the genre ^^ Wish you all a great life and gaming5 found this helpful
This is heartfelt love project you can truly tell the dev cares about his work. He truly went out of his way to capture what i felt as a kid playing JRPGs. The rush when opening a new area slaying monsters and upgrading weapons hits all my sweet spots. This gives me what i been craving.4 found this helpful
Such a fantastic game, especially for people that are a fan of retro gaming and played games like Dragon Warrior on the NES. I backed this project on Kickstarter and I am very glad I did. Brings me back to my childhood and the quality is better than I could have hoped for. If you are a fan of games from the NES era, you will love Beast Slayer.3 found this helpful
I've been enjoying this game a lot. Gives me the nostalgia I wanted for classic NES and SNES rpg's. Just in a different way. Lots of party customization in this game as you can find different characters to join up, that gives you a variety of options for combat tactics.2 found this helpful
Fun little trip back to the SNES era of jrpgs like the first Final Fantasy games. It has a few different mechanics like you can get married and your spouse will fight beside you. You can adopt a kid and they will fight also. You can pick up other party members in different towns. You have monster slaying quests for a guild and you can also take on bounties for criminals. For the price, you get a good 10-15 hours, unless you use the built in cheat codes to cut down on the grinding needed to level up for the tougher quests.1 found this helpful
the fact the price lowered by this much i dont know why i was expecting different but this is one of the ks i regret backing and wont back again it was pretty boring im not sure if those backers are even real comparing the reviews to the ks...but meh not really a good game and it lowered down by so much comapred to the ks prices TWT spent extra on just the game
