About Beastrun

Beastrun is 1D auto battler that's all about building a party that synergizes.

Create a team, equip items, skills and relics and watch how your team does against the teams of other players.
The skills you equip on units are automatically executed, so when battling you can just sit back and watch the battle resolve!

Features

 • become the number 1 player in exciting pvp battles!
 • over 35 different skills to find, level them up to make them stronger!
 • over 50 different items to collect!
 • choose from 11 different animal types each with a special ability
 • progress through 8 areas in adventure mode
 • battle against a daily challenger in arena mode
 • fight through increasingly harder battles with a challenging modifier in dungeon mode and collect precious relics

Try different builds based on different mechanics such as:
 • Freezing - slows down units and locks them in their position
 • Burn - slowly racks up damage
 • Poison - stack poison that deal massive damage based on its stack every 5 seconds
 • Disrupt - move enemies from their positions, disabling their skills
 • Tank - use items that give big health and defense boosts and use skills that heal your units
 • Speed - use fast skills and items that make them even faster, giving your enemies no room to do anything!

All of these archetypes builds can be mixed and there are plenty of skills, items and relics that make them even more interesting.

Really disappointing. I have never played an auto-battler before, but this doesn't seem like a good example of one. The UI is very poor, with hitboxes for hovering feeling finicky and not updating when, for example, units move in the course of battle (the hover shows the previous unit until you move the mouse out and in again). There is no fast-forward feature during battle (which is terrible in the beginning of the game, since it is both difficult and grindy, as you don't have any real skills or items to try out different builds). The inventory UI is also clunky. Ultimately, I guess this is a auto-battler that emphasises the idling part (i.e. waiting for battles to end in the background, and repeated grind) rather than the build creation part (i.e. what requires meaningful engagement with the player). It is inherently misguided. Sooo yeah. Maybe there's something good underneath, but it has spent too little time in the oven to be worth my (and I assume your) time.

The game that contradicts itself. In Beastrun, auto battling is the only option. The adventuring part doesn't require your input at all, so the developers kindly implemented an auto button to autoprogress one battle after another without your input. But at the same time, the game doesn't want you to be fully idle because it requires you to click open chests every other stage. Do you want us to idle, or not? With how grindy the game already is it wouldn't have hurt to make the game to play repeated rounds of itself automatically unless the player prompts it to stop. I like the concept of cute animals beating each other to death and the simple, prettiness of the UI, but no. It doesn't take long for chest openings to become an annoyance, and the game requires a constant internet connection (yes, this is an online only game). It's sad. This was so close to being an okay game.

Beastrun is a compact yet thoughtfully designed strategy experience that exemplifies Sokpop Collective’s talent for distilling complex ideas into small, focused games. At a glance, it presents itself as a simple auto-battler, but beneath that minimal surface lies a game that is far more about planning, experimentation, and observing systems interact than about moment-to-moment control. Rather than asking players to issue commands in real time, Beastrun places its emphasis almost entirely on preparation: assembling a team of animal units, equipping them with skills and items, and then letting the results play out. This hands-off approach creates a calm, almost meditative rhythm where success feels earned through foresight and understanding rather than reflexes. The core of Beastrun revolves around party composition and synergy. Each creature brings its own abilities and combat role, and the real challenge comes from finding combinations that complement one another in interesting ways. Skills and items interact through status effects, timing, and positioning, and even small changes in loadout can dramatically alter how a battle unfolds. Some builds focus on attrition and debuffs, sl…

Played on Steam Deck. Too much of a forced grind, which would be ok if the auto play didn't stop every other run for the player to tap tap tap open a chest.

A silly fun little idle-ish game from the goats at sockpop >:p I lack the spare braincells to strategize excessively, however, you can do some fun strategy planning with all the animals, items, moves, positioning, and the time based combat system Also, why does the dungeon music kina actually slap tho? That's some vibin' music there -w-
