Bell & Hoof: The Silent Journey is one of the most peaceful little games I have played in a while. I take control of a quiet cow wandering through a golden field, with nothing chasing me and no complicated objective waiting around the corner. I actually enjoyed how completely relaxed the experience feels because it gives me permission to slow down and simply enjoy the environment. The gameplay is deliberately minimal. I walk through the landscape, collect hidden bells and eventually make my way toward a forgotten chapel. There are no puzzles or combat encounters, so I never have to worry about failing. I liked that because the game feels more like a tiny interactive meditation than a conventional adventure. The exploration works surprisingly well because the environment is pleasant enough that I actually wanted to look around. Finding the bells gives me a small reason to explore beyond the obvious path, while simply walking through the field allows the atmosphere to do most of the work. game description did not lie very short,. no achievements lol. nada. i think it took 3 minutes start to finish with another maybe 5 minutes seeing if there was anything else to do game probably would be somewhat enjoyable if there wasnt torture of hearing cowbell every step. no ability to turn it off. or down. would be good torture for someone lol. i wouldnt recommend it , but i wasnt angry that i gave it 10 minutes either. so do with it what you will

idea is grand, but, there is about 2 minutes worth of game play here. The bell is a little too incessant for a noise phobic person like me. For it to match the music and the intended chill vibe it needs to be softer. Straight up, love the idea, but it needs a bit more to it than 2 fields.

More recent games like Dogwalk show how far a "Godot game" has gone in less than two months. It's not even chill - the cowbell is annoying and the graphics are pretty crude.
