What a great game. Found it hard till I realized how to do it. Still challenging and loads of fun. I recommend getting the game you will enjoy it.

The game opens by giving you VHS Tape titled "Do NOT Play", a bold suggestion to start your player's experience... Thankfully, Beta MAX is absolutely worth a go! While ultimately the game is 'another entry in a long line of first-person box-and-button puzzler-platformer with a gimmick,' it has quite a bit of charm and merit to at least stand out. The core mechanic, being able to rewind time with some objects or spaces being immune to the rewind is introduced and presented well, it lends to some interesting puzzles that never get so difficult or unwieldy that the game is frustrating on daunting, but also advance steadily in difficulty. By the end of the game you're prepared to tackle the thoughtful puzzles and more advanced movement tech. The puzzles range from 1m to 5m, with some being broken into a 'multistage' format within the same puzzle. Each puzzle has 3 challenges associated with it: "beat par time", "complete with no errors (deaths)", and "find the secret." The par time is a very fun challenge that always feel doable with a mistake or two, but still tight - several puzzles offer slightly faster shortcuts that can shave off valuable seconds if you can find/execute t…

Quite a nice puzzler, got some head scratching puzzles, somewhat simple but effective visuals and matching tunes. Sadly seems quite underrated, give it a go if you like fps puzzlers!

This is a really fun puzzle game. Got great mechanics, a decent challenge. Nothing crazy, but still a good time overall. Check it out if you feel like trying something fun.

These are exactly the kind of games that I’m looking for. A first person puzzle game with clever puzzles with many ah-ha moments. I had major fun playing this game. The game is very well executed, highly polished and I encountered no bugs. The game has good puzzle mechanics and I also liked the 80’s style of the game. I highly recommend this game for serious puzzle lovers. The only negative thing I will say about this game is that the last gate in the last level is very difficult to open. It requires going through an obstacle course in a very limited time. It requires some very difficult platforming. I managed to beat that level but it took me many attempts and required a high dose of luck. But perhaps I did something wrong. Perhaps there was an easier way of doing it and I did not figure it out. Anyway, the game is great. I’m hoping to find more games like this.
