baby easy especially with the chainsaw bug but pretty nice to look at if you can get over the jank

Just had this game gifted to me by a very dear friend for my birthday, after only playing for 37 minutes I have now told my friend to get a refund as this game is so broken, sound constantly cuts out and does not come back until you restart the game. As the game relies a lot on you listening for sounds this bug makes this game unplayable and apparently it is a known issue that has never been fixed. This game should not be on the store in this state and should be removed or fixed

I played this game I think almost half way through and I still don't understand anything that's happening, you enter a building and you have 5 monsters randomly placed after you beat them you get a reward "special weapon" what it does? apparently we don't know. The only thing that drags the game down is the graphics, otherwise I don't recommend it.

It was a nice and refreshing experience to play Beyond Hanwell. The story felt mysterious enough to keep me going while the locations, ambiances, music and general progression helped keeping things interesting. I have mixed feelings towards the combat, it's not the best and reduce the scary aspect in certain scenarios but I can also see how it helps with the "game" aspect. Key stuff is being taught in the introduction so make sure you keep those info handy as I don't believe you can access them afterwards. There are a few tips when loading but it doesn't have everything I believe. It was relatively bug free for me despite a few enemy pathing issues and some sequences not playing as expected, especialy if you go to your inventory. I loved the easters eggs and some of the more funky weapons. Great game overall, some interesting concepts that I hope might be reused and polished in future games.

Beautiful levels and a fun adventure! But some controls need to be more polished, storms need to happen more often, the sickness comes weirdly rarely and when in the inventory, if you hover the mouse over an item, it could spam its sound effect.
