About Black Skylands: Origins
✦ AI summary
Pilot your customizable airship through a gorgeous sky world, mastering aerial combat and bonding with your vessel while fighting off the Kain's Falcons in this action-adventure. Balance dogfighting, farming, base-building, and deep weapon customization as you craft your loadout from 50+ mods and grow your journey from humble Earner to legendary captain.
Prepare to set sail! Every great adventure starts from humble beginnings. Learn a story of a young Earner named Walter, a story of his long path to defeating the Kain's Falcons and rebuilding his Fathership. Here is what awaits you:
Meet the main characters of the game — your friends, your family, and also the villains of the story.

Take your ship for your first voyage and bond with her. Aerial navigation isn’t easy. The Sky is always hungry, so if you want to have a shot at surviving, your ship has to be your best friend. Study it, tame it, be one with it.

Craft and use various weapons and attachments. Love customizing your loadouts? Black Skylands has got your covered. Take SMG, for example: you'll be able to equip 4 different SMG mods at once, with around 50 mods available in total. Some of the mods drastically change the way a gun behaves!

Gather resources, build your first farm and grow your first crops. You’re an Earner, which means you’re an equally competent builder, farmer, and pilot. Never let your farms stand idle!

And remember: The Sky is always hungry.

Not a game for me. While i quite liked the part on land and was kinda interested in the story, the back and forth between islands and the amount of enemies that star attacking and following your airship are really annoying. You either try to make it to your destination and take the damage or you have to keep stopping to shootm which just takes a LOT of time. The shooting was also very imprecise, sometimes bullets were stopped by something invisible in the way or they just straight up missed even though the enemy was right in front of me. I wasn't allowed to heal or pick up medi kits for some reason so that whole fighting and loosing health thing was not a cool part of the game. I also felt like the tutorial failed to teach me the controls at the right time, as you have to jump/ leap onto your airship or use the grappling hook, but the latter control is only revealed later on. The graphics are quite nice, though and as i already mentioned, i really liked the idea of the story. Would have loved to play the full game to see where it goes but there is too much that just doesn't work for me.1 found this helpful
Black Skylands: Origins was the better one
pRRERE GUD!
Before I played Black Skylands: Origins, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
good game, good story, and challenging arpg game.
Perfect concept but too many things bog down gameplay. Repair/refuel or rearming the airship is tedious and not intuitive. I love the concept and hope it fixes some major issues. Guess we will see. The hour demo is meh but has potential. Really wanted a game like this. At the moment, I cannot recommend it.
