Bleak Sword DX

Started decently, fell flat on its face with the janky enemy attacks, some enemies that are genuinely a chore to fight when spammed in levels especially when theres 4 other enemies body blocking for them (necromancers). Drop rates on the items are genuinely atrocious especially when you lose them on double deaths. Levels sometimes being so zoomed out that you cant see ♥♥♥♥. Bosses were mostly fun to the point i played up to so i might stick out to the end but my opinions probably wont change. Edit: Ended up finishing the game and no hitting all bosses, most of the late game bosses felt extremely lacking and way too easy to the point where their second phase attacks couldn't even trigger before you killed them, last two areas just felt like long drawn out high hp enemy spam that was a complete slogfest, don't listen to the positive reviews and save your money and time

I managed to get halfway through the third world, unlocking some rare achievements along the way. How did I manage that? Well, this game is pretty repetitive and boring, with the addition of weird and unforgiving block-counter timing - so I just managed to endure this longer than most of the players. I spent half of my playing time trying to figure out the controls so that I would get hit less when trying to block or dodge. Not to mention the lack of visual clarity while playing most of the levels. Try it on sale - it's not that expensive, but don't expect anything revolutionary

Its ok. It looks incredible truly one of the best looking games ive ever played, but unfortunately the gameplay is rather lacking and becomes boring after the first hour or two and the game is only 3 hours long.

Game gives you a parry mechanic but it might as well not exist. it is semi useful until the late game where it is useless and few enemies have attacks that can be parried. Also has a lot of enemies that are interesting and are different from each other but soon there are multiple "variants" of "big guy with big weapon that you can't parry and deals massive damage" that are barely unique. It's way of making it challenging it just giving every enemy lots of health and damage and spawning multiple big enemies until every single level feels impossible, slowly making the game boring and repetitive. The bosses are honestly fun to fight and are interesting until you reach the dude that is set up to be a dramatic fight and is the reason why the game's events are happening in the first place and he is once more just a big dude with a sword that deals massive damage with nothing interesting about him.

Really love the challenge this game brings to the table since the map sizes are not that large but oozes with style. The music fits really well the overall style and gameplay and only gets better the deeper you get. The game first released as a mobile game but this version greatly expands on it and is even better with a controller. Def worth checking out just for the challenge alone <3
