The game is awesome. The devs of this game must be really cool people1 found this helpful
"Booklet's Big Story" is basically a tech demo from a failed game dev startup. It's a very poorly made third person 3D platformer where you control a book and you run around a library trying to find a place to belong. Not, apparently, as part of a successful game development team. Whimsical narrative in games is fine if it's backed up by a solid, professional look and feel, and all the polish we expect from such games, and that's all absent here. The game has a bunch of mismatched assets that you'll observe as you travel inbetween magical book worlds as an empty story book. And that's how we know the developers don't know about the Dewey Decimal System, because no book is going on a shelf in a library without fitting there. Visually, the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a must, gaming is a visual medium), we can be sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets of any level of quality usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development p…
Cute story, wish it was longer. Controls sucks as well as the camera angles. Lots of glitching and skipping. No options to change volume of narrator and music(on my Rog Ally the music is louder than the narrator) Overall 8/10 for the story, 4/10 for controls and gameplay.
Adorable and charming. A lovely, easy platforming game. 10/10 i love the narrator
i played 12 hours just to finish the game
