About Borefest
Welcome to Borefest. The most boring game ever made.
Do you hate having fun? Enjoy torturing yourself with lackluster puzzles, dialogue that tries WAY too hard to be funny, and/or graphics "drawn" by someone who can't draw? Well, you've come to the right place...
Borefest is the most boring game in the world, and in it, you'll be waiting in line at the post office, answering questions during a workplace safety meeting, serving customers during a VERY slow shift - basically, all the most tedious things in life are in this game...
Only those with brave enough souls and the most tenacious spirits can endure:
Don't buy this game if you enjoy having fun - if you want to experience the most boring things life has to offer and try to conquer them in an extremely anti-climactic fashion, this "game" is for you!
You'll have the life sucked out of you as you visit: the post office, a fast food restaurant, the A&E waiting room...
You'll meet moderately humorous characters such as: a creepy clown, your boring boss, an obsessive stamp collector...

...Honestly, just go play something else.

Only those with brave enough souls and the most tenacious spirits can endure:
- - 6 "mini"games that each span upwards of 30 minutes
- - An unlockable 'hard mode' that makes those "mini"games EVEN worse
- - A soundtrack comprised of royalty-free 'Kevin Macleod' music
- - Extremely long loading screens
- - Dull gameplay mechanics that include: waiting around and pressing one button, QTE's, quizzes.
- - Unskippable dialogue
No
I think your dad might have been right. I can't imagine where this came from, but the fact that the game constantly begs you to wishlist another game from the developer is like a slap in the face. I cannot believe that the trailer compares this game to the masterpiece that is the Stanley Parable. Or that it expects you to be this game in under 2 hours, almost 47 minutes to beat 1 level. What an insult this whole thing is. No, I will not be wishlisting anything else made by the same developer. I cannot do this. I have ADHD, it was almost an impossible feat for me, I literally opened a book and read, and I haven't done that in a long ass time. I usually have to read Wikipedia or fandoms to get all the information I want. This may do what its set out to do, but I'm not sure why it was set out to do what it was made to do. I cannot recommend this "game."4 found this helpful
"Borefest" is a joke game, the blurb says it all, it was made badly "on purpose". There's room for an academic side-note here, is it possible for a bad game to be badly made "on purpose" if the developer isn't actually capable of doing any better? Anyway, this garbage was made with the craptastic blight on gaming that is the Ren'Py construction kit, presumably in the hopes it'll "go viral", and that's what they were hoping for here because this is really an advertisement for more Ren'Py e-book trash fan-fiction writing the developer is hoping to sell here on Steam. Understably gamers have a very low opinion on crap advertising, and this sits square in the middle between What do you do in the game? Nothing, just read some badly written Ren'Py fan-fiction "comedy" writing and click a lot. And look at some pixelcrap monochrome rendition of a post office. It's pure garbage. Because gaming is a visual medium it's always important to talk about the visual presentation that a game has. Unfortunately, this isn't a game, it's an E-book, the primary focus is text. And we know the text is badly written because if the would be "author" of this E-book could write to any decent standa…2 found this helpful
