About Brawlout

✦ AI summary

Brawlout is a stylish platform fighter that blends fighting game mechanics with accessible party game fun, featuring 25 unique fighters across couch and online modes. With mechanics like the Rage Meter system, extensive character variants, and multiple play modes from Arcade to Trials, it caters to both competitive veterans and newcomers looking to find their fighting style.

A new challenger has appeared in the platform fighter arena!

Brawlout packs a punch with couch and online play modes, blending platform fighter mechanics and traditional fighting game play into a stylish and fluid battle royale.

Striking the balance between the growing competitive scene and the genre’s party game roots, Brawlout hopes to cater to the veteran platform fighter, the casual fan and the newcomer looking to make their mark.

Each character in Brawlout has their own unique playstyle, catering to specific character archetypes seen in other fighters. Whether you’re a die-hard grappler or a rushdown fiend, there is a fighter for you in Brawlout.

There are currently six original characters and four popular indie characters to choose from that allow for varied play styles:
 • Dead Cells
 • Yooka-Laylee
 • Guacamelee
 • Hyper Light Drifter
As well as cosmetic skins, each original Brawlout character has three Variants; alt versions of the character with different stats, outfits and even new moves. With these Variants, Brawlout’s cast numbers 25 individual fighters. Find the fighter and Variant that’s right for you and tear it up on the battlefield.

Combined with familiar movement techniques like wavedashing and airdodging, Brawlout adds some extra mechanics seen in other fighting games. The Rage Meter builds up as you both deal and take damage, allowing you either break combos with the Rage Burst or unleash hell with the Rage Mode. The Rage Burst pushes opponents back, breaking their combos and allowing players to create some breathing room at the cost of half their Rage Meter. If the meter fills, you can activate the Rage Mode, increasing the knockback you deal while reducing the amount you take.

As for modes, Brawlout has all you’d expect from a normal platform fighter and then some. Up to four players can compete in either Timed, Stock, Team Battles, FFA or Party Modes.
AI opponents are also available if you want to practice your team combos with a friend, or if you need to fill out a free for all. Train with Advanced Tutorials or go in for yourself in challenging Arcade Towers and the all new Trials mode.
Decent Smash Bros. clone. Smooth animations, different moves, characters from other games like Hyper Light Drifter, Yooka-Laylee, Deadcells, Guacamelee, what's not to like? Music from aforementioned games. Only downside is limited number of characters. This one is actually good.
English review: I recommend it, especially on sale and if you have friends to play with. Brawlout is very similar to other games in the genre, but it also has a pretty original and beautiful character and map design. It feels like a game made with care, and you can notice several nice details throughout the experience. Another strong point is performance. The game runs very well, is lightweight, looks good, and can reach very high FPS, which is great. However, for online play, I recommend limiting the FPS. In my case, I was running the game at very high frame rates, around 500 FPS, and that seemed to overload my PC or the game itself, causing freezes that looked like connection or ping problems. For local multiplayer, it is excellent. For online play with friends, joining matches and starting the game worked fine for me. At first, I thought I was having ping instability, because the match would freeze or slow down. But after limiting the FPS, the online experience became much more stable. So if you have this kind of problem, try limiting the frame rate before assuming it is only a network issue. The biggest downside is that the game is very unknown and basically has no active …

i honestly dont know what to say about this game. its just another one of those smash bros clones that flopped. and this one flopped HARD. Its character roster is small but has some cool characters in there like Juan, the guy from dead cells and... idk, those are the only ones i know. the controls are bad and not easy to get used to. Just buy any other fighting game than this one. this game isnt really worth it. its abandoned "and i think we know why", its sucky, the only good characters are juan and dead cells guy and THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CONTROLS DONT MAKE IT ANY BETTER i do not recommend

don't. just don't. it sucks. its unbalanced. its visually cluttered. its not well thought out. its the kinda game where the devs just go "if it has wavedashing and a shine it must be a good platform fighter". "if we imitate rivals of aether enough surely the game will be good". play stardust valkyries. its not as popular and needs the support
