About BrightSeeker

BrightSeeker is an action RPG set in a futuristic fantasy world where people and their mechanical constructs rose up against their gods. Fight your way through hordes of deadly mechanical soldiers as the Seeker — the last descendant of the ancient gods — who lost their only companion to these machines. Take your revenge and find a way to bring your loved one back to life...

Shoot, slash and dash to defeat numerous enemies.
Block projectiles with your shield. Time your blocks well and deflect the projectiles back at your enemies.
Upgrade and modify your abilities to suit your own play-style and make them even more powerful.
Journey through the futuristic neon-drenched world, explore different locations, meet new characters and uncover hidden secrets.
In BrightSeeker, harder difficulty doesn't mean enemies will have unfair advantages or become bullet sponges. Instead, you can adjust the difficulty to suit your own play-style and decide what benefits you or your enemies will get.
Unlock new abilities for enemies to make them more challenging to defeat or give yourself boosts to make the game easier. The game will be only as difficult/easy as you make it.

I dont usually go reviewing games only after 30min but this one was a rather pleasant surprise! the mechanics are simple, dash and fire and block. I honestly had no clue where i was going but the more and more enemies that came out the more fun it was... its a simple game and yes for a single dev its a great job. The visuals sound and flow of motion was far smoother than you would expect from a single person production! SO far i would recommend this game... if that changes i will be sure to update this! Edit: Had no performance issues myself on my 5700xt but this game needs a map ... i am at a pt where i dont know what i am doing or where i am suppose to go ...

This game is awesome! The art and combat were fantastic and I felt that the story was pretty engaging. The boss battles are definitely the best part of this game I just wish it was longer. My run time says 4 but really it was closer to 3. Hopefully this developer keeps making games as I feel they have a ton of potential in making the next smash indie hit. Here's a link to my review that goes into it in more depth: https://youtu.be/Sa1yuPI3Wb8

Can confirm, works pretty well on Steam Deck so far. 1280 x 720p seems to run at 800p instead somehow, no complaints there max settings, introduction is at 30fps and settles into a generally stable 60fps I wish the deadzone for diagonal movement was a little slimmer I’m playing on default difficulty; so far the game feels a bit “easy,” in that health upgrades are too quick and I have too many tools to fight enemies. Health drops too often, too. Right when I was feeling like the challenge was going to kick in, I got a machine-gun style of ability that cheesed it down to nil. My teleport dodge has no cooldown, and it’s not tied to my Spark bar. Falling off an edge doesn’t damage me, it just ticks my Spark a little I guess? Some of that could be creative decisions, but altogether it can really impact early game. You don’t have to be afraid to progress, but the future unknowns should at least promise challenge and perils. Next I’ll tinker with the difficulty options.

Highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys difficult, fast-paced combat (if you're having trouble adjusting to the movement controls, they can be changed in the settings). Timing the attacks and shield is very fluid and feels natural. Paired with the awesome visuals you are in for a a very rewarding treat.

Really fun, short game with great visuals, action, cutscenes and lot of work put into it by this solo dev. Looking forward to more games!
