Bugaboo Pocket

I feel like they spent most of their time and effort on beautiful pixel art and forgot to actually build a game around it.

Overall a fun and sweet game, though I'm biased due to adoring all sorts of little critters. I found the story interesting and enjoyed the games and little friends you could take care of, the things you could collect. However the game is a bit short for the price seeing as its artificially longer by dead waiting periods. I'd say 100% worth on a sale though. Some complaints though: -Would appreciate the option to turn off the flashing for when bugs grow. -Minigames get repetitive and game drags in some parts. -Something more to do when bugs are sleeping. -Perhaps some speed up options?

Very fun and cute. This game changed my hate for bugs into love.

A great way to try and get over social media addiction and fix your attention span. The pixel art is stupendous, and the bugs are just the right amount of realistic to satisfy a biologist (me)

Bugaboo Pocket was a joy to play! I can highly recommend it. The game centers around a character named Silvia as she goes back to an abandoned and neglected research post on a mission to repair what she feels like she contributed to ruining. Silvia faces not only obstacles with raising many generations of bugs but also with loneliness, memories, and the law. One shining light as she pressures herself to restore the local ecosystem is her loyal friend EZ. The gameplay revolves around different bugs and their growth process. Each bug has different mini games, preferred environments, and favorite foods. Bugs can also be raised to exhibit different temperaments and are assigned a tarot card that alters their behavior or appearance (this can be changed for the right price). I think that each bug has a good variety of minigames to offer but I do understand that if someone is looking to complete the game these may become repetitive. I loved the aesthetic of the game along with the story that was taking shape behind just raising the bugs. I appreciated that you are rewarded for reading through the descriptions of Silvia's decorative items for the bugs with additional information …
