About By the Vine: Chapter One
By the Vine is a Christian-based farming sim Visual Novel following Calum who has to live on his best friend's farm after burning his own house down. What hijinks will ensue as Calum adjusts to his new life, and uncover the mysteries of the world around him?
The story takes place in a mysterious world called Edonis. Inhabiting this world is a race called the Cloats, which hold different abilities based on their genetics. The Cloats were placed under a curse that causes them to become feral whenever they do a misdeed. Follow the lives of six young Cloats, as they build up their farm and unlock the secrets of the world around them.
This is only Chapter One. I'm making a Kickstarter for the other chapters planning on having around Chapters. So consider this kind of like a proof of concept or a pilot episode. If you have any critiques or suggestions feel to let me know in the comments

- Christ-centered themes: Certain characters and side stories tackles different themes of Christianity, and whether or not a character is willing to hold on to there values while facing difficult challenges.
- Fully Voiced: By the Vine is fully voiced by a talented cast.
- Linear story: Right now it's a kinetic Visual Novel with no branching paths or choices.
- Whimsical world: A world filled with unique creatures, and different nations with there own way of life.
- Unlockable side stories: Each main Character (besides Nolan) has a side story that can be unlock after progressing through the story. The side stories help to dive deeper into each characters lives and motivations
- Relaxing soundtrack: Sound track, with a smooth 90's feel.
- Wholesome Story: A story that is focused on the characters and they overcome their struggles while sticking together like a family.
- Farming System: While progressing through the story you can unlock different parts of the farm, Where you can feed and interact with different farm animals to gather ingredients.
- Cooking System: Once you unlock the farm you also unlock the Café where you use the indigents you gather to craft different cake, and shake recipes.

"By the Vine: Chapter One" isn't a game. It looks like an e-book dumped on Steam masquerading as a game, but it's not that either! This is an advert! This is just the "try before you buy" intro to some cringe fan-fiction, and the "author" expects you to pay money for the rest... imagine paying money for someone's high school anime club dropout fan-fiction. Ugh. This is never okay. Of course, the author never added any additional chapters to buy.. which is a good thing. This garbage e-book advertisement is written by Christian furries and is a toxic evangelism piece intended to inflict religious doctrine on gamers on Steam. It's my firm belief that religious dogma and political indoctrination has no place on Steam... this is harmful and is intended to prey on the weak minded. And to paraphrase King of the Hill... "This isn't making religion better, it's just making gaming worse". The e-book this is advertising was intended to follow a furry who burns his house down then suffers religious indoctrination. Yeah, ain't nobody gonna read that. As an advertisement for a visual novel, this has no notable gameplay. It's just clicking through badly written, cringey fan-fiction tryh…
