CaliaQuest is a narrated visual novel with a focus on voice narration. I decided to buy this game to see if someone could create a good hypnosis videogame, spoiler ahead: they couldn't. [h1]Akchually[/h1] The gameplay is almost nonexistent, it all boils down to choosing to sacrifice some will points to take a different path. The game description talks about rolling a d20, but the roll is automatic, making trying out different endings difficult (although one could save scum to get through it); with this premise, it's easy to see how the game ends up being something very close to a playlist of erotic hypnosis audio tracks, spaced out by few clicks and sporadic choices. The voice actress is surely talented, and the audio quality is overall very good, the same can't be said for the graphic, which is not always as it's supposed to be, and most importantly is AI generated. So, recommended with obvious caveats: 1. There is no H artwork to be found, 2. The art is obviously AI -generated which might be a turn-off or a moral problem for some folks, but at the very least, I don't think the choice of 'art' detracts from the content on offer. For what it's worth, the art is conventionally attractive and has an eerie quality to it that suits the theme at least somewhat. 3. The main draw-in is in the voice recordings and the kink of erotic hypnosis in itself, so you have to be someone who would enjoy at least being seduced, but obviously it works the best if you know the fetish or you're open to try. 4. At the time of writing, the 'bad' endings seem to be one or two paragraphs, so no scenes describing your newly found life as the said girl's slave. I haven't found any indication as to whether than needs to be added in via a patch, if there's plans to release such content in a later update. The 'gameplay' consists of listening to recordings of each monster girl/succubus/fantasy girl talking and trying to seduce the listener, as far as I can tell, or what it sounds like, the reading is all done by the same actress, in English that is clearly spoken as one's …

It's not bad but only has about 2 hours of content. Definitely not worth the asking price.
