Warning: Asset Flip!
Candy Puzzle is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Candy games studios/Tero Lunkka, took the Platformer 3 - Chocolate game assets from the real developers, ithappy, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. Candy games studios/Tero Lunkka has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. I feel sad for these guys paying 100 euros to publish a game that is not even worth playing because of how bad it is. I played this game ONLY for the achievements and was very disappointed when I finished it, which took around 20 minutes. I will just write the reasons why this game is not worth buying or even playing. The GPU I use can run games like Elden Ring with the highest graphics and still stay at a normal temperature. However, when I started playing this game, the GPU started to overheat due to how big the map is. (Not sure, though.) Same gui in all their games and the options are just for resolution... They also use free models I assume. Big map with mostly filler content, and they also stretched some models to make it even bigger. No information about controls. I had to press every button to figure out that "R" was the key to get teleported back to the beginning. No checkpoints. If you fall, the only thing you can do is press "R". :)) The first half of the game is parkour, and the rest is puzzles. I was a bit surprised to see that the puzzles weren't that bad or boring. Edit: I just noticed that in their description of the game, it says "FPS Puzzle." 😂😂😂1 found this helpful
This is not a good game. If you can even call it that.1 found this helpful
nope
Ok, first off, I have to mention that this game is clearly inspired by **Portal**. However, it's not particularly creative in its execution. One major issue is the performance—no matter what kind of computer you have, you're likely to experience FPS problems. Is it worth the 2€ price tag? Well, that's up to you to decide. It's a bit of a toss-up, so if you're curious and don't mind some potential performance hiccups, it might be worth a shot.
