Players consistently criticize this game for extensive use of AI-generated assets, art, and voice acting, combined with poor execution, confusing gameplay, and significant performance issues that make it feel unfinished. The main complaint is the misleading trailer that shows visuals not present in the actual game, poor value at $13 for less than an hour of content with uninspired puzzles and glitchy mechanics. While a few note the concept has potential and it might appeal to indie horror fans, most agree it feels like a cash grab that prioritized marketing over actual game development.
Game was poorly put together A.I. mess with A.I. art and voice acting and I think even the writing I cannot believe it is being posted on here for 13 bucks.12 found this helpful
The concept for this game sounded really fun, and I looked forward to trying it. Unfortunately it's full of AI-generated assets, art, and voice acting. The game itself is confusing and not very intuitive, and I gave up after less than 10 minutes. Would not recommend this game at all.10 found this helpful
It's ok and kind of fun. But it's too expensive for the content and performance. The trailer doesn't show the gameplay, it's a video. It's a bit sad if you want to play with this graphics and think, it would be like the trailer with the little boy. If you're into indie horror it's worth a try, but buy it with discount =)6 found this helpful
Even though I got this game for free for content wise, it's like $1 worth or even free, they put more time into the story at the beginning and end than the literal game, even the trailer is better. It glitched on me when i made a mistake in the storage room and I HAD to restart the whole thing to even finish (I only restarted for content, or else I'd uninstall and forget the game). The whole story and concept could actually be really good and be a chapter based mascot game IF only they would've put MORE time and money into it. The art is obviously AI, looks like this was an attempt of a cash grab on the horror mascot genre. DON'T BUY THIS4 found this helpful
I took a stab, and this is a total bait and switch. The trailer's visuals are NOT in the game, and should be seen as a representation of, I imagine, Midnight Games' attempt to make this sub-par FPS with chase gameplay more appealing to general audiences. The actual gameplay is okay- but the chase enemies seem like they would be better suited in hallways rather than big open areas where they hone in like a missile. The big open areas feature escape-room like puzzles, which aren't the worst, but are also very uninspired. I didn't get far into this, but from what I see online, fans of this genre should be able to blow through in less than an hour, so at 13 bucks, that's not a very strong value. I read some saying that the game was "made by AI," and while it certainly doesn't have anything new going on with it, I do see a little creativity here. Then again, this does also feel like that UK Chocolate Factory Experience. The artwork looks overly generic, stinks of AI generation, but there's some attempts to individualize (like photoshoping in game-related elements), but these visuals shows zero connection to the game engine visuals, and thus, feels disconnected from everything else.
