Information Review English
Canfield Solitaire Collection is a strategy card game developed by eSolutions.
Gameplay / History
Do you like card games? Then you should definitely read on, because this collection has it all. Try to get all the cards on the foundations in this classic Canfield Solitaire game. You start there with the card that is dealt first at the beginning and play in ascending order (you put the ace on the king and then on). On the 4 squares at the top in the middle you can invest in alternating colors downwards (here, too, the ace goes to the king). Use the top left draw pile or the bottom left pile to place cards on the foundations or the playing field. You can move groups of cards if they are placed alternately down.
Per
+ brain training + long motivation + Arcade Solitaire + great implementation + relaxed music + different levels + Achievements
cons
- Few different languages are available
Conclusion
Canfield Solitaire Collection offers solitaire enjoyment at its finest. If you like the genre, you will like this one too.
…39 found this helpful
Pretty sure I've played the whole eSolutions catalogue now! They're all minimalist but clean and very user friendly. And they all contain an impressive collection of variants. I hadn't even heard of Canfield before this one - it's probably the hardest but I really like it. Solitaire fanatics will enjoy this one; Canfield is a lesser-known that never came bundled with Windows. As always with eSolutions, a minimalist but very user friendly collection with good variety. edit: review text unchanged but flipped to a non-recommendation due to missing quality of life (e.g. no mid-game saving) and the dev deleting critical feedback to hide the shortcomings of their games. canfield solitaire collection is one of the not that many card game collections available on steam. some are better value for money, others are worse, but 20 variants will still keep anybody busy for a long time. since only a few are listed on the store page, here's the complete list:

acme
american toad
beehive
canfield
canfield (easy)
chameleon
coyote
double canfield
duchess
duke
eagle wing
falcon
gate
little gate
rainbow
selective canfield
storehouse
superior canfield
variegated canfield
wings
rules for each are available in-game, there's unlimited undo and optional auto-complete to save on a lot of tedious clicking. stats keep track of times played, won, best time and score, etc. unfortunatly, the timer and move counter can't be turned off, they appear as soon as the first move is made. they're not super-intrusive at least. the end-level animation can't be skip…
