Random generation & Roguelike elements
Every card in Card Artisan past your starter deck as well as every card in your enemies' decks is randomly generated. This in addition to a randomly generated map results in no two runs being the same!The game features more than 80 unique pieces of equipment that will shake up your runs with all sorts of abilities that will test your creativity and challenge your ability to find new kinds of decks and strategies!Meta progression
Win or lose, every run will give you experience that you can invest to strengthen your heroes and ensure you have a better chance at winning on your next attempt!Card Artisan also features easy-to-use integrated tools to create your own mods or download and use community-made mods. I remember back when this was being made by an old friend of mine around 2-3 years ago, I still have a 0.4.2 version on my PC. How far it has come is mind-blowing. For one guy to make such a unique, compelling and overall excellent game with many features big producers overlook added in so seamlessly. I have dabbled in 10s, easily every big roguelike card game and also every mainstream card game out there, this has what I really wish some of those had, plus being able to quite easily customise your own decks and cards. I would suggest checking out the Fullen Discord for more mods etc. I posted a NSFW one there a while ago and would be happy for people to use it. Amazing job, amazing game, glad it is done and I got the privilage to purchase it officially for all the hours of entertainment it has given me in the past and surely the future! I've already experienced enough from just the first hour to know this game will appeal to MtG fans as well as those who like the replayability of roguelites. Great idea to combine the two with proc gen and the ability to create custom cards as part of the gameplay loop. The card art is high quality and the game concepts are familiar if you know MtG. May not have the depth of MtG, but in this case that's a bonus that makes the roguelikeness all the more palatable and fun. Runs are relatively quick but still feel impactful with meta progression based on how far you get. Will definitely be playing more of this. Kudos to the dev for creating and continuing to support this indie gem. UPDATE - Having unlocked the endless mode, this game is a blast and a must buy if you like deckbuilder roguelites with a strong MtG feel. This game was certainly a surprise find among the glut of indie titles on Steam.3 found this helpful
Found this game through a community-made mod on a [mongolian basket-weaving forum]. I highly doubt it will ever get posted to workshop. I've been playing it since free open beta. Game's great, especially for something solo dev. Tons of freedom with how you want to play and how you want the game to play. Dev's great, he pounces on bugs as soon as you find them and just wants everybody to have fun playing the game. I kind of miss midi Green-sleeves and the playtest card art ngl. I know he paid an artist for the new art, but something about the guy's style feels more AI to me than the placeholders. No offense to him, just probably something to do with the way he does lighting. Luckily, very moddable game. Heck, I'm currently rocking pokemon art with orchestral covers of Kanto for the music.2 found this helpful

Awesome game! Lots of different effects you can customize a card with. I hope there will be more customization options and effects! Hopefully there will be more mods added in the future to the Steam Workshop! Back to playing!
