Players appreciate this game as a budget-friendly spiritual successor to Twisted Metal with solid core gameplay and fun mechanics, but are consistently frustrated by numerous bugs, crashes, poor camera controls, wonky controls, and what appears to be developer abandonment. The game shows promise for fans desperately seeking a modern Twisted Metal experience, but technical issues and lack of polish prevent it from being a worthwhile purchase in its current state.
I appreciate the sentiment to try and make a twisted metal like game but I feel like the developer has bitten more than he could chew here. It's simply not fun to play in that state but I decided to not refund it because I am f*cking starving for a modern twisted game that I could play on Steam.6 found this helpful

1st game i really felt the need to not recommend. its not worth the $5. it took me 20 minutes to complete the campaign. it would have sooner without the bugs. the final map was bugging enemies under the map. the controls are really wonky, the enemies die within seconds 1-2 attacks. really disappointed, it looked like a promising twisted metal mock. DO NOT BUY2 found this helpful
I would recommend this game to anyone who has been waiting for a new Twisted Metal. While not as good as the games in that series, Carnage Cross was still fun. The game is a bit buggy and crashed a few times. The game itself is fun enough.1 found this helpful
Dead game :(
Pretty fun game, but not perfect. On the one hand, it's very cheap at only $5. It has a lot of small problems that simply need to be addressed. First of all I had to kind of jump through hoops to change the in game resolution to 3840x2160(4K). It wouldn't let me change the resolution in Fullscreen mode, only in borderless or Window Mode. I would have to change it borderless, set the game to 4K, then change back to Fullscreen to force 4K 🤬. I also didn't like the camera doesn't do a good job of following the player, combined with the lack of any on screen reticle. Still though the game plays very similar to Twisted Metal, powerups included. I love the gameplay, but I hate the bugs.
