About Catastrophic Cat Command

Command thousands of cats on their journey to find a new home! Catastrophic Cat Command is an arcade-style game where you manage multiple mini-games at once! It’s the perfect game for a quick 5-minute break from work!

There are currently a total of 12 mini-games that take only a few seconds to complete. You’ll start with only one game active, but every 60 seconds, a new game spawns that you have to manage simultaneously. It gets stressful pretty fast, so bring a sweatband.

The game starts in Tutorial Mode, where you can try out all available mini-games in a less stressful environment. Once you’re familiar with all the games, you can start the main mode by pressing Enter. Here, you’ll try to save as many cats as you can until you inevitably fail.

It seems impossible to me with my reaction time and rng to get a highscore for the last achievement, and also seems there are some cheaters on leaderboard, in addition to that as I now returned to the game again it seems it is bugged on 2 of the new gamemodes and it does not read inputs properly. *Edit* Upon trying a few more times it is not just a little bugged, you seemingly randomly lose as if some game is running in the background and loses without you playing it, as I was losing in the first 60 seconds, while in an active game that was progressing, or winning, still lost. *Edit* I tried again and both new achievements seem bugged, this really pisses me off as I thought I had the perfect timing for it too... Not only do you have to wait for RNG to get the game you want but then also perfect timing on one of them... by my reckoning I should have had both now... It was enraging enough to not be able to get 100 cats in one game because of just skill issues or too many things going on, but even after returning to this game now I am still #7 on leaderboards, which means either stuff is incredibly bugged, or anyone who has got achievement done is a cheater except perhaps the top gu…

"Catastrophic Cat Command" is an Early Access but mostly complete set of minigames with a twist... the minigames pile up on you a bit like restaurant orders in a game of Cook, Serve, Delicious. The concept is, well, average, and concept is the right word, this feels like an experimental or conceptual game. This is let down mostly by rather weak and shallow gameplay, a premise that, while novel, isn't great, and very weak technical execution. This features really godawful, lazy retro/pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates …

NO... just.... no. Says it's "LINUX COMPATIBLE" but I only got it to "work" (I use that term loosely) using Proton compatibility.... and it really didn't even work then.... it just kept telling me I saved 1 cat and that was the end. Pixel graphics ... yuck. No options menu ... lazy. Seventeen Positive reviews (as of this post)? Must be friends of the dev? I love mcat games, but this was a joke. Yeah, it's free... but I still paid too much.

This game is such a fun concept. I couldn't figure out how to feed the cat so I was doomed to fail whenever that game triggered, but I love the gameplay loop of jumping between minigames and keeping them alive as long as you can.
