Tried playing this originally in 2017 and quite frankly the only reason I tried picking it back up again in 2018/2024 was because I wanted to try and complete it.... but it genuinely is so boring I lost interest immediately. Decided to literally force myself to 100% it today so it could stop sitting in my library as uncompleted. Not to mention if you uninstall the game all the progress you had with unlocking baskets/ wallpapers/ coins/ ect completely gets deleted which is a huge motivation killer. Especially with how hard and tedious it is to get coins here, I honestly thought it was harder to get coins than actually reach 5k points. I also don't understand why there's only one achievement where it tells you to [i]save[/i] coins but the rest are to spend them...? I definitely agree with others that I've seen say it should be changed to spend that many rather than save them. Cute game in premise, but it genuinely as I said is so very boring and I would not recommend it.

As the name suggests, CATCH A FALLING STAR is a 2D game about catching stars - or pug and android faces depending upon the level selected - and includes 45 Achievements to collect. We control a basket at the bottom of the screen and stars randomly fall downwards from the top. At the beginning things are relatively slow but speed up the higher score we gain. Controlling the basket is simplicity itself with the A and D keys to control left and right movement respectively. We start off with 3 lives and these are reduced whenever we miss a star, although to assist us there are numerous power-up tokens falling too which add (usually) temporary bonus effects. These can be either beneficial or detrimental in effect and include everything from adding / subtracting lives, coins and even adding wind strength and direction (making object movement more unpredictable) which adds nicely to the challenge. Very soon chunks of ice fall as well and these can be shunted with our basket to add to our overall score. Some even add coins to our total. Once our basket is full we move to the extreme edges of the screen to empty it, with the longer distance giving a double bonus score. Once …
