What a game! It combines overall majority being Match-3 with some "find where to stick this item" and battles and tasks and... Makes it rather pretty darn hard. Only because Match-3 is luck based. Thankfully there are three difficulty modes. Also power ups. I don't know how the hell you play on Hard mode without losing all your hair in one go, but alright. The game is fun and it does have different "puzzles" for Match-3. Battles make you want to choke the opponent and never see them again. The worst enemy are the spiders. With infinite spider webs. I hate them. I hate them in battle and I hate them in the damn puzzle rooms. I'll even hate them in real life if it makes them vanish forever. If I can freaking avoid them being on my path... I am sure as hell not there! Was it enjoyable? Of course. Well... Unless you get such dirty moves from enemies or the map limits your moves so badly... It's painful in a good chunk of parts, but you still keep going. Because even when you reach the end... It tells you there is a Bonus... Even when you grit your teeth and play through the Bonus... I really liked the first game but the decision to change the time limit to a move limit kills any fun this game has for me1 found this helpful
Put in close to 150 hours! (Hate to calculate how many days that is!) As you can guess - one of my all time favourites! Great game and hope they put out a Cave Quest 3 someday
