A fun take on block style tetris games, with power ups and such. Loved it and highly recommend it!!!

I was contacted by the developer to give this a try, and I'm glad I did! I'm unfortunately not very good at it yet, but I really enjoy the twist on your typical Tetris formula, and the different game modes provide a good bit of variety and challenge. I love puzzle type games and we have done a few on my YT channel. This is the video of my gameplay of Centrist ( https://youtu.be/n1hQNbUyzWU?si=wMzez8QD-oyCT1V- ). The author reached out to me to give it a play on the channel, I would have gladly done this without the review code they game me for this but it was there and I took it. You play this and will know the shapes, but the rules are very twisted and I can honestly say I've never seen anything like this. You think you get the hang of it and in my case, boom nope, one mistake and it all comes crashing down. The premise is simple on a standad mode, surround a block with shapes to for a perfect square from familar looking shapes that have gravity on there side that drop from all directions. Don't touch any pre-exisiting block and you lose the shape and then some health. There are power ups to help you, there are multiple modes and all of this may sound confusing but check my video out. This game is one to keep and I will be returning to this a lot - I also can't believe ( regardless of it cost me nothing ) how cheap this is. This game offers a surprisingly fun twist on Tetris. Generally, you've got pieces falling alternatively from each of the four sides and landing in the middle (or building from the corners in one variation), with the goal of forming squares around the center. Unlike Tetris, in most cases clearing a line does not drop the tiles, which means you need to develop some new and different strategies compared to the usual Tetris experience. There are 4 variations on the theme, offering different sets of shapes, items, the ability to rotate, and whether you're building from the center or the corners. There are quite a few achievements and unlockables to strive for. The achievements match the gameplay well (e.g., clear a square further out, clear two squares in sequence, clear two squares at once) and reward you with unlockable tile sets with their own unique sound effects. If you get far enough in a particular mode, you can also unlock Hard difficulty for that variation. Also, online leaderboards. It has them. The music - it's good.. fine... it switches up at certain level or point threshholds, so that's nice. But I still preferred to mute it and play my own music after I'd been playing …

Centrist is super fun! Definitely an interesting twist on Tetris. I like the different blocks you can select to customise your board, especially the bee one that has a little buzz sound when you clear lines. The icons in classic mode are really easy to quickly see and translate into what the power will be. I think it would be cool if you could implement T-spins and SRS too. And the music is going to be stuck in my head for days, it's so catchy hehehe!! It takes a little time getting used to it, but I have no doubt it will get easier the more you play! As an avid puzzle enthusiast I absolutely love this game. It takes a spin off of a very old block game by turning it on its head. I can't wait to unlock all of the block types and hone my skills. It's a game I'll continue to pick up whenever boredom strikes. My only suggestion for the game is to have a Legend in the panel to the right showing what the symbols represent. I'm sure with just a few more plays I'll have it memorized, but it would be convenient to have as reference. Awesome game. I highly recommend!
