ok so this is a very barebones version of thinktanks with low-poly pixel graphics. this is fine except its really only a foundation. theres a lot missing here and improvements to be made that could further the experience and make it better than think tanks was. i really hope this project gets further development because it could be a really cool revival of an old niche game.3 found this helpful
Having played way too much ThinkTanks in the 2000s, this was quite a surprise to see on Steam considering it takes inspiration from such a niche game. I appreciate that this isn't just some low-effort asset flip, and I do think the experience could be great. However, in this game's current state, while it may be in Early Access, everything just feels like plagiarism. It has only a handful of ThinkTanks (from what can obviously be gathered from the preview images down to even the button placement on the main menu and the bot names) with nothing unique maybe aside from the Minecraftication applied to the design (if that counts). I am a huge fan of both ThinkTanks and variety, and I would love to see improvements made so that I can play a game scratching that itch I've had for far too long while it differentiates enough to still feel like its own thing. I will be getting this game refunded, but hope to see future and unique development that makes me want to own it again because I really want to see a revival for this kind of game.1 found this helpful
