Cervus Blade

It isnt bad but its just to short

Cervus blade is a short (40-70 minutes, depending if you are good, and if you want to explore everything) souls-like game that takes you on an adventures, as Zara, through a world that is corrupted by strange power, from which creatures benefit, or fall victim to. The story is good, but also very short. The only talking and cutscene is at the beginning, and it introduces everyone and everything and sets the story for the rest of the game. There are different buildings, areas, and creatures (no friendly NPCs) with progression through the game, but nothing explicitly introduces you to something new (which isn't a bad thing). The combat is okay. It consists of basic M1 combos combined with a heavy attack. There is a 'superpower' called Bloodthirst which gives greater rewards for hitting (more damage), blocking, and dodging; you upgrade it as you play through items you find. Another upgradeable thing is your stats: vigor, endurance, strength, and bloodthirst; you upgrade this by the killing enemies and collecting it randomly on the ground. i needed a soul like for free, because i never really got into the genre before and didnt wanted to pay for a game and then regret it afterwards. The game is really good for newer player and let you slowly get into it, which makes it especially good for that kind of player. Recommendable for everyone, who wants to try something new, without paying for it and maybe find something to actually enjoy playing.

Very good to test out Soulslikes. Works fluently, has okay graphics and good gameplay. Its obviously not very in-depth, but thats completely fine, since its FREE! I would definately recommend it as a low budget stepping stone towards other Soulslikes. Not as hard as others, but good to get a general feeling for the genre.

Cervus Blade A souls-like game made by a small studio, and has a short playthrough. While it doesn't have a bunch of content, the game is very good for people who were in college at the time. A list of things I like about it and Dislike Pros: - Good sound design - Good soundtracks - A really cool final boss, I wish we would have gotten some lore for this (unless there already is and I haven't seen it yet...) - A very simple leveling system and enemies that are easy to learn - Beautiful art style Cons: - Game isn't optimized very good and there's a good amount of stuttering. - Maybe it's just me but I'm not a big fan of the worlds layout (The art style is very pretty though) - The Lock-On feels a bit rough. - The combat feels a bit off. so i play elden ring and dark souls 3 on my ps5 and i got this since im broke and its very well made. a tiny little complaint is the critical hits are a little repetitive since i did it on a tall dude and i stabbed his nuts. 10/10
