The game adopts the ink and wash style, always presenting the rhythm of Chinese culture, with a few points of danqing painted, a few ink marks wandering, both in shape and color, beautiful.

I'm learning Chinese and this game is really nice! But for some reason, the audio for the Hanzi characters don't play, instead it just lists (1) (2) (3) and the Chinese words don't get spoken. (Not sure if its a bug?) Hope you can fix it, it would really help!

I wish clicking the characters will have the pinyin pronunciation spoken, that would be great. The TTS at the dictionary section only have the English section working which also broke the game whenever I tried to end the session. I would definitely pay if the devs decided to improve the game. I played this game with another application open to learn the characters.

"Chinese Characters" is a Chinese language word game, basically the same kind of word game as you see in the back of the newspaper. Call it controversial, but I don't think game developers should be trying to compete with the back of the newspaper in the era of games like Helldivers 2. What do you do in the game? Match words from given characters to eliminate them from the screen, try to eliminate them all. In some ways this is a bit of a glorified word search. There's English equivalents to this kind of game, but this one uses Chinese characters... you probably would need to be familiar with the language to even approach trying to enjoy this, but I won't hold that against it. It's got enough problems. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" and, well, just a bunch of characters for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money…

fun for what it is, very calming, would be more helpful for memorising characters if there was pinyin / definition in the game field, once I get past characters I know I'm just clicking shapes (which is still fun) thank you

Basically a simple "remove the heap" game, with Chinese characters instead of e.g. Mah Jong bricks. UI is mostly Chinese only, there's a short tutorial how to unlock some subtitles. Most options stay without translation. Sometimes hard to spot if one brick's border clips another, blocking the second one; but there is an undo button. Wastes a huge multimedia opportunity - the game itself is view only, thus limited on pattern recognition. No option to invoke sound or meaning of the characters while playing. Dictionary's audio also seems broken, especially when using a language option. Also you need to unlock characters to access them in the dictionary. What could have been a nice way to playfully train and deepen Chinese characters is so almost useless. On the other hand is is free.
