Clockwork Dawn

This game has great potential it is set in a alternative historical world during the 1800's it is similar to Victoria 2 in a way but in a simplified manner. Overall at its current state i would give the game a 8/10 and i believe that if you are buying this game you should join the discord to get more information on the development of the game and its current state.

A cool concept, but there are game breaking bugs and development was abandoned.

Interesting and definetely promising lite version of victoria 3. It is simple, but fun.

The game is still in early access, but I’ve really enjoyed playing it. It’s clear the developer has put a lot of time, care, and energy into the project and actively listens to the community with steady improvements. If this pace continues, it will only get better. I’m excited to follow its progress toward the polished experience people will come to know and love.

Overall, I like this game a lot. The developer has been very responsive to comments in a positive manner. It still has some flaws-most notably the lack of a badly needed tutorial. I've managed to parse out most of the game mechanics with some aid from Spacecrab, but there are still some grey areas. The most important one at the moment is trying to declare war on another country. In order to declare war, you need to establish a claim on one of their territories. So far my efforts to establish a claim on anyone's soil have yielded NO results. In warfare itself, the balance of forces doesn't always give victory even when it seems like it ought to. In one game I was playing as the British Empire and the United States declared war on me (note that the AI has no trouble declaring war on you!). I created a large fleet consisting mainly of Ironclads and sent it over to teach the Yankees a lesson. My fleet was met by an American force of less than half the size of my Fleet which then roundly defeated me without suffering a single loss. ???????!!!
