Clue/Cluedo

i'm not entirely sure why this had so many great reviews. it really wasn't any better than its "cousin". it's made by the same companies even. the graphics were okay. the text was miniscule (if you have a larger monitor, it's eye-stain-o-vision to the nth.) and the gameplay was nonexistent. it goes so fast that you blink and you miss it. i will say that being able to stay in the same room indefinitely was interesting. not Better, just interesting. i don't know if it would have better if it had been purchased with all (or even a couple) of the dlc. but frankly, if a game can't be interesting With Out the purchase of the extras, it's not worth the money. in any case, i guess it really comes down to personal preference. and this just wasn't mine.

I don't want to see locked content from stuff I don't own. I feel like this game is trying to milk me. Straight up jorking my udders.

I am happy to say I purchased this game during the summer sale as I do not feel that it's worth full price. You only get the basic board game, a couple rule options, and ability to play with anyone who has also purchased the game. There is no option to customize rules to enhance game play, lots of extras advertised but the reality is that it's a cash grab. I have seen better value from a mobile game. $5 is honestly the top amount this game is worth, and I do enjoy playing with friends online via the private room. Keep in mind if you purchase an extra map, your friend has to purchase on their end as well to play it (which wouldn't be an issue if these were only a couple bucks). Another downside is if you make an incorrect accusation you lose all participation in the game, AI takes over for you. Defeats the purpose of even trying to be strategic. And what are these points even for? They unlock nothing, and don't seem to accumulate. Seems pointless to have wasted programming effort for them when you could have enhanced the playing experience. I love Clue and happy to play online with others but would NOT recommend paying full price or wasting money on DLCs.
