[h1]Before I played Codename Prodigy, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good[/h1]

"Codename Prodigy" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. While most platformers have content, this one doesn't. The developer thought that other people are an ez-mode substitute for content, and was wrong. So this a poorly made and objectively failed 2D retro pixelcrap "couch brawler", aka "Super Smash Bros Ripoff" except with way worse graphics, gameplay, and none of the fun characters. I will never understand why amateur developers go to such lengths to rip off other people's games but make them worse in all respects. And yet, here we are, once more, standing over the grave of yet another one. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. pretty fun fighting game

Best video game i've ever played in my life. My favorite moment in this master piece one may call a game is when the main character breaks the fourth wall by grabbing the camera, looking you in the eyes and saying I am codename prodigy. Stunning game. Wish to play for the first time again.
