About Cold Shell
Your country lost a big war a few years ago and was occupied. The army and police are disbanded, firearms are withdrawn and banned. Spy drones fly over the streets, collecting information about all the inhabitants. Corporations are tearing the city apart with their skirmishes, and street thugs are creating chaos at night. And now the army of invaders has besieged the city and is not letting anyone through.All these global problems don't worry the main character so much. She lost her parents in the war. And did not make it to the frontline - the government capitulated as soon as she finished the training. Implanted military augments are turned off and have no power sources. All that remained for her was to put up with a low-paying job in the nearest grocery store, and wait until the occupants get out, in the hope that at least something will change for the better.
Yesterday she dreamed of how she dealt with a gang of thugs and their boss, who was driving a stolen APC with a machine gun, all alone. During this dream some joker remotely hacked her implants and turned on the increased adrenaline secretion by the adrenal glands. Back In the army, soldiers had the adrenaline pumped up before the attack - for courage. Now she can't sleep until she lets off steam. So she had to get her bat out from under the bed and go out into the street, in the direction from where the loud music sounds, which the thugs love to listen to at night ...

Купил игру чисто из-за любви к музыке CYBERTHING!, кой написал саундтрек к данной игре, но игру все же интересно было затестить. Вкратце это интенсивненький hack 'n slash в сеттинге киберпанка на один-два вечера с простенькими геймплеем и нарративом. В геймплейном плане все достаточно однообразно - убиваем и ломаем всё, что видим, чтобы продвинуться дальше. Разве что список врагов может похвастаться обратным. По мере прохождения будут встречаться более сложные противники и боссы, к которым нужен будет определенный подход, и пробегать на пролом как на первых этапах уже не получится. Присутствует прокачка банальных характеристик персонажа как кол-во ХП и наносимый урон, так и модификация имеющихся абилок. Есть кастомизация своей комнаты, что играет чисто косметическую роль. В целом storyline'овые миссии у игры несложные, но есть и сайд миссии, которые могут заставить попотеть тех, кому это нужно. Раздражало в игре только то, что она застывает каждые 2-3 минуты в режим фуллскрина, пришлось играть в окне с рамками и странный выбор проигрывания музыки. Вариант с одним треком на локацию было бы лучше, чем постоянные замещения одного на другой во время боев. Однако саундтрек все же бомбов…18 found this helpful
Everything about this game is great, except the final hospital boss is frustrating trash. The "fight" ignores 90% of the combat features you learn to use, revolves entirely around using the shield, every attack is basically an insta-kill, it clutters the battlefield so you can't see the markers for it's insta-kill attacks, and no amount of grinding for stats actually effect the fight. Do yourself a favor. Play the game and skip the final boss entirely.6 found this helpful
Pretty Challenging. Some of the levels were rage inducing but I had a lot of fun along the way. Tip for Linux Players, keep it in windowed mode if you experience screen tearing like I did

Really an underrated gem with a diverse and interesting world, a unique storyline, and a soundtrack that bumps harder than the red devil herself. The artwork is fantastic and with a few small exceptions there is nothing I would see changed. It's well-worth the time to play in its entirety.
