can classify this as a hidden gem basically, a high quality flash game++ in 2.5D it's a shmup souls-like and it's charming in characters, art, music and, most importantly, gameplay highly recommended if you fancy something soulful6 found this helpful

Don't post reviews very often, but after completing NG++, this lil' hidden gem absolutely deserves it! Great boss fights, banger OST, smooth controls, lots of items that tweak more than just stats, and despite being someone who typically doesn't care for story in games, the lore and world building earned my full attention in this one! During the 3 cycles didn't bump into a single bug either. Just beautifully done! ^^ TLDR: If The Realm of The Mad God was actually a good game with fun exploration, progression and without enforced permadeath nonsense.2 found this helpful
Cool game, quite a difficult on start but once you get into the flow its really fun. Also pretty complicated, there is Official Shell of a King Wiki I recommend later on in the game if you wanna push for 100%. All in all 10/10 for me.2 found this helpful

Tbh I thought this would be a smaller game, I was surprised how much there is to it! I do find the controls a bit of a struggle but it might be a me thing, since I mainly play with controller. Still, Story and Gameplay was really fun! Might go back to get a better ending because uhmm.. let's just say I shouldn't have abandoned a friend :'D Definitely a hidden gem!1 found this helpful
