About Cold Vengeance
In the year 200X, the totalitarian National Hell Party rose to power in Canada. They declared martial law, formed an alliance with the mysterious Ninja Empire and kidnapped the President of the United States. They then bombed all major American cities. Afterwards, they sent an army of soldiers and robots over the border to clean up the scraps.
You play as Sgt. Jon Dagger, a lone soldier who must travel through the ruins of America into the Great White North on a rescue mission to save the President. He's joined by a former Soviet engineer who has uploaded himself into Sgt. Dagger's brain.
In your mission, you must run and gun your way through a variety of environments, fighting post-apocalyptic barbarians, Canadian soldiers, fiendish robots, and powerful ninjas.
Cold Vengeance is a 3D run 'n' gun game that is a tribute to late 90s early 3D games, as well as to 80s and 90s action games and movies.

Cold Vengeance is an unapologetically old-school action shooter developed and published by Renegade Sector Games, built around the kind of outrageous storytelling and nonstop combat that defined many arcade-inspired games of the 1990s. Instead of aiming for realism, it delivers a wildly exaggerated alternate history where Canada has transformed into a ruthless military superpower, joining forces with a mysterious Ninja Empire to conquer the United States and capture its president. The setup is intentionally absurd, but it establishes the game's playful identity from the very beginning. Rather than pretending to be a serious military drama, Cold Vengeance embraces its larger-than-life premise and uses it as the foundation for an energetic adventure packed with explosions, impossible odds, and relentless action. Players take control of Sgt. Jon Dagger, an elite soldier assigned to rescue the kidnapped president and dismantle the invading forces. His journey becomes even stranger thanks to the presence of a former Soviet engineer whose consciousness has been digitally implanted into Dagger's mind. This unusual partnership gives the campaign an entertaining twist and reinforces the ga…
good ♥♥♥♥, like space harrier but you can't fly lol
I was a bit torn on this one. The first impression with cold vengeance is "my first unity project", as it does look very rough and unpolished and not trying to look professional....but it works! The author focused on the coherence of his game, both story wise, technical wise, and gameplay wise. And this is more important than trying to be like a pro game. This could be regarded as a lesson in game design. Unfortunately the more you play and the more the shortcomings get in the way. Notably the awful camera control. The levels are rather easy but the game is hard to finish because you spend most of your energy fighting against the camera. This is why I put a thumb down because most people won't enjoy the game. Even though I did force myself to finish it, and found it better than a lot of indie games trying to be more professional than they can afford. The music is awfully repetitive and there is too much fog most of the time. But it's a pity that if the dev had fixed the camera problems and polished the game just a little bit more, it could have been a classic. Excellent little run and gunner! Reminds me a lot of the game Millennium Soldier: Expendable
Not as refined as some of the dev's more recent works, but the core gameplay is still quite fun. The upgrades system is nice in a classic shmup sort of way - it feels good to get on a streak, stack a few upgrades, and mow down enemies even faster. There's a lot more dialogue here than in some of the other Tales games - many bosses talk to the player, there's a Soviet scientist in their head, etc - and it's funny and lighthearted.
