Command & Conquer™ and The Covert Operations™

This is what started it all. A 1995 certified classic, Command & Conquer is definitely bangin'. I dig the style with the acted out cutscenes, pixelated graphics and the 90's futurism™. The game is pretty fun but at some times can be frustrating and it takes so damn damn long. Without a little help from walkthroughs I think my playtime would have 20 more hours. And also, THE JANK! If you don't want to have a headache, then go buy the remastered collection which even includes modernized music and graphics. But if you want to play this you gotta get some fixes or you will have to play with the intended resolution and some game crashing bugs. The AI is dumb as rocks, your units will be a chore to control and once you control 50% of the map, the enemy will only control like 25%. The difficulty in this game is only in the beginning. But it was worth a shot.

The command and Conquer always hangs and I have lost count the number of times that I need to log off and login to continue the game.

For its size on disc, cut scenes were good. I only wish there was more popular actors for the time, no John RhysDavies', like in Dune. Still though I Love the throwback to the golden age of RTS in the late 90's without having to download a bundle of titles. Game play was great with varied well balanced units. The sound effects are awesome complete with popular songs and the in game commentary from units like the infamous Commando taunts that are sure to be a welcome treat to anyone familiar with 90's C&C. Truly a nostalgic treat!
