This game holds a special place in my childhood memory. I first played this on an old CRT monitor. I couldn't read English back then, so I had no idea what the story was. I just loved the cool guns, planes, tanks, and the Ion cannon. I didn't even know the game's name until recently. The Campaign mode is awesome. It perfectly balances letting you play as a badass commando blasting through enemy bases while still making you feel like part of a massive, bigger operation.1 found this helpful

2/10 Trash It's only interesting for the first half hour; after that, it all turns into monotonous drudgery. And by the end of the game, it all devolves into an absurd barrage of enemies - so many that you don't even have enough ammo to deal with them.
A must for any Command and Conquer fan, but not fans of the high-impact hardcore FPS junkie playstyle. This game is extremely dated, and while the community is doing what it can to keep it relevant, it needs a remaster, where enemy spawns are reduced, maps include localized maps, But is it good? As far as C&C stories go, it's standard GDI story fodder. The fleshed out details like the reveal of new subfactions like NOD's Black Hand, elite assassins so totally sold-out for Kane's cause that it borders on fanaticism. They could have done better with the GDI designs and characters, Havoc is your stereotypical American-coded G.I. Joe standing for GDI. GDI Commandos are almost as effective as Tanya was, but here are my nitpicks, if you'll indulge me. -You can reload your guns at any time, including when they are full. This can put you at a disadvantage because mid-reload you could need to fire your gun again. -I am also disappointed at the lack of classic FPS weapons such as a pistol/revolver or shotgun. -The game is still buggy and many missions can reach an un-winnable state if you take too long or if you bungle mission objectives, leading to alot of savescumming.…
