excellent graphics
very very inaccurate game, AI is way to overpowered, especially in t20s, they hit every ball for 6 but when you try to recreate that all your batsman get out. If you are playing, do NOT play on normal, it is impossible, even "easy" is challenging, very inaccurate. Also graphics are absolutely horrible. The only fun part of the game is Tests/First Class matches as they are actually somewhat possible. Do not buy this edition of the game
This game could be so good, but is oh so frustrating. When it first appeared way back in 1988, I pointed out that it was unplayable because of a series of inexplicable batting collapses. It seems reasonable to assume, given that the designers have had nearly 30 years to remedy this, that it is a glitch in the OS which is so fundamental that the program cannot survive its amendment or deletion. This is presumably why they don't even provide the option of turning these off. I note that they now seem to be trying to make out that this is deliberate on their part as an occasional batting collapse is part of cricket. 'Occasional', yes, but not nearly every innings. There are other major problems too which have never been fixed. Training seems to have little effect,, especially during the off season. Default run rates are way too low. Many real life players are mis-classified or mis-rated. There is no player adjustment facility. Too many LBWs. Too many run-outs. Fielding settings are meaningless. All problems since 1998, all still unfixed. Instead each year shows more whizzy graphics, but no attempt is made to fix a basic game engine which is clearly broken. This game could be so…
Great game until real names removed. The game now is more like village players playing for their countries about as interesting as watch grass grow or paint dry.
I can honestly say that there's not one aspect of this game that's enjoyable or realistic. Complete ♥♥♥♥♥.
White ball games are absolutely broken beyond belief. They're just not worth playing - you will lose.
