Critical Failure

Update (7/8/2024): Game is abandoned, last update was from June 1st where they accused an actor of stopping the filming of their show, alleging the actor was impersonating a police officer. Update (5/18/24): I have made it to Wave 6 before playing something else with a friend. Tips for people, pressing Q will open a zombie counter, found it while trying to find the journal button. Pressing "V" will put you in third person, you can then use the Alt button to freelook around your character. So, in my updated review of this game, i will mention something. This game, takes up 100% of my GPU. Sea of Thieves, Bannerlord, Modern Warfare 3, do not. I have now thoroughly explored the map. I found a radio playing Johnny Cash's rendition of Rusty Cage by Soundgarden. So i will amend my statement, this game isnt unplayable, its nearly unplayable. At the time of this edit, having the graphics set to the minimum is required as having the settings higher will make the volumetric fog reduce your vision to the point of ridiculousness. Devs, i know youre reading this, please remove the fog. Improve the optimization, (or at the very least stop using my PC as a cryptofarm ;) ) ----- This game …

I was initially lulled to this game by the use of Hunt: Showdown's music in the trailer. Unfortunately, the game itself isn't as good as the music it uses. Performance/Graphics: - The game is deceptively large for what it provides, at around 14 GB. - The main menus appear hastily made, and aren't pleasant to navigate. - The game's graphics are similar to those pixelated PS2-style games you may find from time to time. If you're a fan of those, you may like this. - A thick fog obscures the whole map. Turning all the graphics settings to low is almost required to see better (though your vision is still VERY limited) Gameplay: - Before playing, you choose a clan/tribe and pick a class. From what I played, there is no difference between clans. - Classes have no unique abilities (I played the collector) and likely only change what gun you have equipped. - The Steam page claims there is a story related to the clans/tribes. Again, from what I played, there's no real story in game. - There is NO mini-map, nor is there a way to even see WHAT your quests are (perhaps a tutorial would help). - Many objects have text when you get close telling you to press F to interact. Initial Notes: Good start, needs some tweaking to improve immersion. Environment: Invisible walls need to be removed. Day and Night cycle too quickly. Rain needs to be toned way down. Gameplay: Hit Registry needs work. Gun sounds need to be more realistic. Reload times are too short making it seem unreal. Zombies need to hunt the player, currently it feels like I am on a easter egg hunt for kills. Will continue to follow, but making these changes will improve the game for sure.

Nah......something weird goin on here. Anti virus had a little moment when I first started it.....took a moment to say it was fine....but I dunno. fps said I was only getting 23 odd, but it honestly looked like over 60. Ok......the game?...nah, nearly died from the very first zombie because it was doing some panoramic flying camera thing to me WHILE a zombie ate me...I had no control. Survived, moved on..... ....to boredom. Feros came outta no where, probably good thing he's immortal. He nearly got me killed. Trying to interact with him and I was being eaten again.....no noise. Ninja zombies. Uninstalled. Can't get info about creator.......all very odd

Anyway there was a gimmick about the developers turning this into an evolutional live "tv show" or something that went nowhere because nobody played this because it's a garbage asset flip. So, "Critical Failure" is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer".
