About Alive 2 Survive: Tales from the Zombie Apocalypse
The zombie apocalypse has begun! Choices matter as you swipe your way through life or death decisions to keep your group alive for as long as possible.
DAILY DECISIONS
Swipe left or right each day to make important decisions for your group as you strive for balance between rival factions and limited resources. Each choice matters and can be the difference between surviving the apocalypse or becoming part of the zombie horde.
CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY
Are you a ruthless, cold-blooded killer who will do anything to keep your group alive? Do you put preserving civilization and your way of life over the lives of individuals? Or are you just living day-to-day to enjoy whatever pleasures you can find in this zombie infested world? You make the choices that determine your fate and live the post-apocalyptic life you always dreamed of.
BALANCE OF POWER
Strive for balance between rival factions and your limited resources. Soldiers protect the group from zombies and other hostiles, but they can go too far with their use of force. Followers take care of the camp, but can be very needy with their requests. Elders help lead the group, but can be overzealous with the power they wield. Food, water, tools and supplies your group needs to survive are in high demand but short in supply.
FIGHT TO SURVIVE
Zombie hordes and hostile human groups will be a constant threat to your survival. Will you aggressively attack your enemies or cautiously defend your walled compound? You’ll also encounter strangers who can help or hurt you in your quest to survive, but you must determine who is friend and who is foe!

I'm posting this review since I hit level 5 and now the game doesn't seem to want to progress anymore. Up until that point, I was enjoying this game, as it was a fun diversion for 15-20 minutes a day. Any longer and yeah it would get boring. Sometimes I wished there would be a random 3rd option that would pop up just to throw you a loop instead of the standard 2 choices. I enjoyed the quirks and artwork of the game and just the general atmosphere of it. But unfortunately, even though I thought the game was fairly entertaining, I'm going to give it a thumbs down since the level 5 glitch has killed the game for me. If it gets fixed, I will change my review.5 found this helpful

It is what you would expect form a rushed Flash game from the 2000's. Not worth it at all no matter how little it can cost.1 found this helpful
Not logging any achievements Biggest gripe is that it doesn't feel like the gameplay evolves or changes even theoretically moving through the map making upgrades and such so it gets a boring fast1 found this helpful
Yet another example of how Steam badly needs a "Meh" rating. The Zombie theme is nice and I love how the way to keep going is to constantly recruit new members who can be leaders. The different themes and skills of the leaders seem to have little impact though. Outcomes seem to happen regardless of decisions which kind of undoes the "decisions matter" aspect of gameplay. The "combat" is nonsensical and it doesn't seem to have any connection to your choices. I enjoy how leaders can be banished, executed, die in office, or can even end up zombified. If the rest of the game had more connection to your decisions vs. outcomes not to mention a little clearer story/goal progression this might be a gem of a game. Otherwise it can be a real slog that often seems to go nowhere.
Choose a character, make choices to form a tale of a survivalist community
More for casual play. Like, you basically try to keep the peace on all fronts, relationships occur or not, the elderly demand respect because they have glasses and gray hair, an action is required but you can also do another, all by chance? Ehhh, some are, some are not. Like most of the choices you wanna take, you already see what it does to your economy. If one goes all the way down or all the way up, it's game over. But that is the whole thing about this game, everytime you play, it's a little story till you fail. New characters gets unlocked after you failed and you can try another story with them. New characters also get unlocked by chance, when they want to join your community during your storyline. You also level up during any story, increasing some of your skills. Prolly for later replay with better outcome. Because when you look at the map, there is huge trail to go through. By doing the right choices and ocassionally a real chance occurs with a 50/50 outcome, there is this chance (yep another chance) that you go deeper into the map. That is considered "exciting" because then more possib…
