I definitely got into the groove of this game and put in a fair few hours. It was fun, but it did get frustrating the more I got the hang of the game. The map not changing between playthroughs and you only having so many options also made it feel like I was just grinding to earn new blessings, and the returns on investment diminished fast. Still, I like this game and it was fun, so I hope that it will receive future updates.3 found this helpful

One of those games where you spent hours without noticing it. I love it.2 found this helpful
Too bare bones of a tower defense game and sorely lacking standard quality of life mechanics. You don't have many options for towers. You have a tower that shoots, a tower that summon archers and a tower that summons guards and thats it for offensive tower. This ends up being a quantity over quality strategy as your towers don't scale much in damage as the enemies just get more and more plentiful. The other big issue is that you can't demolish or undo a structure once its built. That wouldn't be such a big problem except building fence is a huge part of the game. Accidently building a crypt in the middle of you fence line can straight up ruin a run as now every enemy will run right through this hole. This will happen as crypts are the default building in the build menu. There is also no speed up option so enemies will just slowly walk along until they finally get to your base1 found this helpful

Crypt Keeper is a strategy-driven roguelite that places the player in the role of a disgraced necromancer forced into exile, tasked with surviving against relentless waves of heroes who seek to destroy both you and your dark ambitions. From the outset, the game establishes a clear fantasy: you are not the defender of good, but the master of forbidden arts, slowly rebuilding power through cunning, preparation, and an ever-growing undead army. The premise is simple yet effective, immediately framing each run as a struggle for dominance where survival depends on smart planning rather than brute force alone. Gameplay revolves around a satisfying loop of base construction, resource management, and defensive combat. Players must carefully decide where to place structures such as towers, fences, summoning points, and support buildings, shaping the battlefield to their advantage. Each structure serves a clear purpose, and their placement directly influences how enemy waves behave and how efficiently your undead forces can respond. While the player character can participate in combat, Crypt Keeper emphasizes preparation over reflexes, rewarding those who think ahead and build layered defen…
