The controls for this game are TERRIBLE and therefore makes this game UNPLAYABLE for me. To begin with the cursor for directing an action is positioned several blocks away from your character instead of targeting whatever you want to mine when you aim it. The camera seems to adjust erratically and wobbles all over the place. Collecting blocks is a nightmare if you dig underground as the walls disappear revealing the sky and the blocks you've mined get stuck easily on other blocks, meaning you have to mine more before you can pick up the ones you originally mined. The recipes for crafting items are ridiculously expensive in terms of mining costs. There is very little structure to the game, the promises of quests seems non-existent after completing the first few.

not only would i consider this game "Bad Minecraft", it installs a malware program, Win32\SpeedChecker, on your computer as part of the game package. i will be refunding this!

Buy it on Switch. The game is honestly solid, but this port sucks. If you're thinking about it, don't. If you're interested, do, but buy it on Switch instead.

I loved Cube Creator DX for the 3ds, and playing a remaster of a game I enjoyed so very much on my switch and PC was sick! I haven't gotten much game play in, but from what I have played; This game is quite enjoyable. I seen other negative reviews and generally don't agree with them. Controls are for a controller, not a keyboard and mouse but I had a nice experience playing keyboard and mouse. Other issues are just not reading controls (You can go in first person :P), not understanding the Cube Creator DX & X's formula of gameplay, etc. I do understand miscommunication as there a lot of bad Japanese to English translation Win32/SpeedChecker from what I seen in research is just random bloatware that comes with big company games. I believe this isn't the adware SpeedChecker that you get in search results as I haven't gotten any pop ups. This might be confused with that SpeedChecker. For those who don't understand the history. These voxel survival craft games are largely a product of a bunch of companies trying to profit off of the craze that was Minecraft with their own. I just don't think this one is one of the many that deserve your time or money. First off, the developers obviously designed this to be played in third-person, so it's too bad that the third-person view sucks. The crosshair just sort of sticks out in front of you and it's overall confusing; I rarely spent time in the third-person view other than to capture a few screenshots. Then you get to the combat which feels super clunky; the delay between hits feels entirely artificial. The crafting also sometimes is confusing, I turned "stone" into "stone" and "wood" into "wood" a few times just so I could craft a tool with those materials; why not just make them cost more and skip the intermediate step? Anyway, I will say that I did indeed like the cute style of the art in the game. The game also holds your hand a lot with the tutorials, map, and story, which is nice if you're a new gamer or if you're directionally challenged.
