Cuber is a really simple endless runner, but I like the fact that it gives me one completely ridiculous thing to worry about. I am controlling an ice cube that is constantly melting, so the main job is to keep it alive for as long as possible while running through an endless course. I only have three basic controls to deal with, left, right and jump, which makes it incredibly easy to pick up. The funny part is that I am not just avoiding obstacles. I am also trying to find ice before my cube melts away completely. The melting mechanic is what gives Cuber most of its personality for me. I cannot just concentrate on getting further and ignoring everything else because I am constantly losing ice. Collecting more ice becomes part of the route I take, so sometimes I have to make a risky move just to stay alive. There are also different objects that can change how obstacles behave, which means I can sometimes avoid something or use an item to destroy it instead. I like having that small choice because it gives me a bit more control than a basic endless runner where I can only dodge everything. The game also rewards me for being aggressive.
