Story

Curse of Argentum is a fun, if imperfect, little survival horror game. If you are here it's likely because you like the fixed camera style of survival horror, and although it's lacking a fair bit of polish it's certainly worth a visit. You'll be doing the usual - scouring for supplies, managing a limited inventory, stashing stuff in item boxes (which are plentiful), fending off the undead (skeletons for a change) using your fists and magical spells that all use up your mana instead of ammo, and solving puzzles. There are a few clever twists that set it apart from many others of its kind like the magic system, melee that can be used to reveal secret passages, and a cute but fairly pointless feeling score system based on evaluating the financial worth of everything you pick up? I don't really know what the deal with that last one is, but it's in there, and you know, I kinda liked it. The game isn't really forging much new ground despite these playful quirks, but it's also pretty cheap and knows what it's about. It's got some lovely music, some pretty solid interconnected map design and at least one puzzle (the stairs) that I thought was pretty cool. That said, I do have some compl…
