About Cute Things Dying Violently
Hey kids! Do you like failure? Are you suspicious of success? Do you smile at the thought of "accidental" electrocution? Then boy have we got the game for you!
Introducing Cute Things Dying Violently, a game where nothing bad happens. CTDV is all about hapless Critters, and the Critters need your help! Launch them around to get them safely out of each level. Dodge all sorts of lethal goodies like spikes, buzzsaws, and fire, and use a variety of wacky items to pull it off. And if a few dozen (or hundred) of them get turned into charred, smoking husks in your attempt to save them... something something omelettes and broken eggs. Broken, bloody eggs.

Cute and very bloody looking! I adore these blue walking onions and fighting evil Hate bots! It's pretty hard to perfect all the levels though. :3 8/103 found this helpful
To preface this, I won this on steamgifts.com. Cute Things Dying Violently is a simple puzzle game that doesn't offer much to the players in the form of complexity. The basic mechanic is very similar to Angry Birds, where you "flick" "cute" things into a door... their homes? It relies on it's violence to try to grab the player with crude humor about bloodshed and destruction. The core gameplay was way to simple and it became grindy and repetitive rather quickly. It did teach me a very valuable lesson about reading and playing through tutorials. You should always complete them and read them thoroughly. Anyways, I would say it is 2/5. Not worth your time in my opinion.3 found this helpful
Now this game is pure joy to play! FUN,FUN AND FUN. Twisted minds made this game I tell ya. Beautiful game and a hidden gem.1 found this helpful
I'm torn on this game and games like this that are basically mobile ports. On one hand, I'm not sure it should be on steam at all - but then maybe games like Divide By Sheep or Unholy Heights shouldn't either; yet what they do is different and fun enough to be worthy of exposure on whaterver platform they can find. This game is unique enough for the same justification, but the physics leave a bit to be desired and it feels like it should be played with a touch screen to really master the controls. In the end it's just not fun enough for me to think that this should be anything other than a mobile game.1 found this helpful

Tags: Casual - Object Routes & Flinger Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Tabletported quality is evident. Lacks lemmings style mechanics. Pulling levers and using platforms gets tedious. Typical puzzle game where you need to route an object to an end goal, with switches, platforms, and whatnot. You could also view it as a dumbed down version of lemmings but mechanically this is much simpler and much more tablet. This one uses the tired and old flinger angle mechanic like the one used to fling the birds in angry bird. What helps this title is its resolution support, non grating music, and somewhat cutesy little monsters that die violently if you do not perform the level well. It is not enough to salvage the tired concept, and even though the screen will strech to higher resolutions the quality of the image remains poor and tablet grade
