About Dash Hale

INHALE. SAVE THE WORLD. EXHALE. REPEAT.

Who needs weapons when they can control the ground they’re on?
Better still: why not have both?

Dash Hale is a combat-based runner set in a dynamic, freely rotatable world: speed up or slow down by changing the ground incline, turn it into a steep slope for sliding, or leave it altogether and drop all the way down - bringing your enemies along.

Hunt bloodthirsty zombies in a pirate ship, survive rebellious machines in feudal Japan, face hellish demons in the cyberspace and escape giant rotating blades... everywhere. It may not make much sense, but you won’t have the time to miss that.
  • Control Matt and the world around him: jump, swap between short and long-range attacks and rotate the world at will;
  • 10 kinds of enemies, 10 corresponding levels - mixed together at the beginning of each scene;
  • Upgrade your weapons and gain new abilities throughout your journey;
  • Unlockable Boss Rush mode;
  • Blood-pumping soundtrack;

Dash Hale is an unusual kind of endless runner where you have some agency over the action. The game allows you to change direction, and also tilt and fully rotate the screen (like the Dnovel asset flipped Cocos template that he's copied+pasted onto Steam a dozen times). Changing directions and rotating the screen so you switch between floor and ceiling is needed to get to the things you need to attack with your sword. Interesting premises for a game don't translate to instant success here, however, as this game is just shovelware with a sloppy technical implementation. A choice was made to use minimalist 2d retro "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can'…

ENG: An interesting proposal, has some original mechanics, maps and enemies are random in each level, so we can face orcs in space or pirates in the far west for example, the most important mechanics is that we can rotate the world around us, and with that change the speed at which we move as the direction or if we want to fall in free fall, the " roguelike " mechanics are not so many (luckily for me that I'm pretty tired of the genre).

Very interesting and unique core mechanic! You can rotate the world 360 degrees to change where you or enemies stand, giving you strategic advantages based on how and when you rotate things.

Really unique mechanic that powers the fun in the game! Really difficulty and not always entirely fair, but overall I think it makes for a great experience to sit down and try out. I also love the transitions between levels and the background bosses that attack the foreground.
